Trend Micro Deep Security is highly scalable but requires licenses to be purchased for each endpoint that is configured. This may result in additional costs. However, it is compatible with a wide range of operating systems, including AIX, Linux, Windows Server, and Windows desktop operating systems.

We had two people managing Trend Micro Deep Security in my organization.

Scalability depends on whether Trend Micro Deep Security's dashboard shows its users with options like critical, medium, or low.

It is a good scalable tool, especially Trend Micro Deep Security Version 20, compared to its previous versions like Trend Micro Deep Security Version 10 or 12.

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

Around 1,15,000 users are there for the solution. Mostly, my clients are large to medium-sized businesses.

The scalability depends on the customer. It can scale by storage or endpoints. There's no problem with extending it.

We have various clients on the solution. Some clients have different departments. We've had 60 to 70 customers on the solution, and we provide the solution to them according to their needs.

It is a scalable solution. Considering the different price ranges available, one needs to buy a device. It needs device-based licensing. For instance, if 50 more devices in our organization require Trend Micro Deep Security, then I have to purchase 50 more licenses. So, scalability is not a challenge in the solution. Also, we have around 100 people in our organization using the solution.

The solution is being used very extensively in our organization. In the company where I work, we have only a single solution for all of our servers. That single solution is Trend Micro Deep Security. Also, we have been using Trend Micro Apex One for the past two or three years.

It is scalable within some limitations of compromise. For example, since its an on-premise, there will be servers limitations. If you need to scale to large areas, then you need additional hosting solutions to extend the capacity. Otherwise, it's a good tool for scalability.

Scalability hasn't been an issue.

We have different workloads, so it depends on if we're talking about development, QA, or the testing environment. They are all separate accounts. We have a central account to try to manage all of them. A lot of these type products, like Trend Micro, fit into these shared environments.

Right now, we've got a few production workloads, but most of the workloads are still in development.

It's not very scalable or automatically scalable. If you want to be scalable, you need to add more licensing, to add more costs. If you want to be scalable and have more capabilities, you need to buy more.

We use the solution to cover all of our servers and Trend Micro in general to cover all of our assets.

Scalability is possible if you move to different versions. For example, you can move from Apex One to the XDR solution, and then from XDR, you can involve Deep Security. There, it is very much scalable if you want to start from the bottom, from end-point security, and move it up to the servers as well.

They have different flavors, I guess. So based on the flavors, I think they give a number of assets that you can deploy onto the machines that you have. I have not used Trend Micro Apex One, so I cannot compare it with Trend Micro Deep Security.

We are an enterprise-sized business, and the solution is deployed on the main server. It's an enterprise server that we have, and it has been deployed onto that particular server.

The thing users need to understand about the solution is that Deep Security is not by default meant to manage 100,000 PCs. It's for data centers, and it's for less than 300 servers at the same time. That said, even a big company doesn't have a lot of servers available. In terms of scalability, we don't find a limit for the moment based on the customer base we have.

You can also scale via the cloud. It's very flexible and you can deploy on command, on a virtual server in the cloud.

I won't say that it is scalable. It is the final product, but it has a few add-ons. You can add other products of Trend Micro, for example, XDR or EDR, along with DDI, but you can't scale Deep Security to another level. It is the final product.

It is a very expensive solution, so it has mostly been used at an enterprise level. Around 90% of the customers belong to the financial sector, and around 95% of banks in Pakistan are using it.

Scaling it has been fine as we haven’t done a whole lot but it seems to handle everything we need it to do. If we doubled in size tomorrow, I’d say it could handle it because the product has the availability to have more than one server with the cost remaining the same. I’d say scalability is very good.
