Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention Room for Improvement

Typically, DLP solutions do not cover emails without an additional component, which necessitates a dual-service proposal. Comparatively, on-premises deployments offer more features locally than online or remote deployments, which sometimes face challenges with feature support. This is a common issue with Trend.

Therefore, for more advanced features, like single sign-on, we prefer Forcepoint due to the limitations of Trend Micro DLP.

In Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention, there is a need to improve the plug-in manager, as it is an area with shortcomings. The plug-in manager of the product should be improved so that users can choose add-ons in the tool from the solutions' offerings. In Trend Micro, the plug-in options are in the console, and users can centrally use the option on an on-premises option. You can also add the plug-in options directly from the console in the cloud. For the on-premises option, Trend Micro wanted to develop DLP in the same product only, apart from the add-on features it provided.

The solution could use better logging in the future. It needs to be more granular.

While it is pretty comprehensive, they could always add more channels to it. For example, DLP for items connected with Bluetooth. They may already be working on this feature.

There should be additional integrations for web conferencing solutions like Zoom, MS Teams, or Google Meet. That is missing at the moment.

The solution does not have OCR functionality. It's not a must-have; however, some clients do want it.

The tool should improve its reporting functionality. We need a proper reporting feature in a DLP solution.

Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention is already a better product than other similar products. It's improving day by day, so I can't give any areas for improvement.

Having more features apart from what the product was designed for is what I'd like to see in its next release.

We would like to see support for agentless service in the next release of this solution.

Being able to specify an agent list, or client list, to allow support from outside of the organization, would be of benefit to this solution.

Trend Micro could be priced better, currently, it's a bit high. There also needs to be better after-the-sale technical support.

It's hard for me to answer any questions about missing features. It's the outside companies who support us that manage this DLP solution at this moment.

Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention is buggy, which is one area for improvement. Most of the time, it also causes problems with other solutions.

The solution requires better QA.

I also found Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention support horrible, so that's another area for improvement.

Within the solution, many of the functions do not perform as intended. So, an improvement in the QA process is needed.

I would like to provide improved network direction in order to regulate all of the user agents. We only use Trend Micro Data Loss Prevention to manage various threats and malicious user agents currently.

They have all the features. They have all the requirements. They don't have the best price, so that is a problem. The price is forecasted to increase on the next release.

This solution could definitely have fewer bugs.

Most of the functions don't work in the way that they are supposed to.

It needs a bit of quality control. At the moment, there are so many bugs that it is preventing us from getting this online. It's a disaster for us. This has been going on for half a year now and more issue created than fixed.
