Ubiquiti WLAN Initial Setup

Ubiquiti WLAN's deployment is straightforward. I unboxed the device, connected it to the network, and configured the port to operate as a trunk, providing the necessary tags. Then, I integrated it into the control system.

The initial setup of Ubiquiti WLAN was easy. I rate the setup phase a ten on a scale of one to ten, where one is difficult and ten is easy.

The deployment process was done in around 20 minutes with the help of minimal staff members. One can provision them remotely and then install them live on-site.

The solution is deployed on-premises.

The initial setup is very easy. In my opinion, the interface for configuring security devices is simple to use. It didn't take me long to set it up, but it depends on the complexity of the deployment. For example, I configured it on my personal device, but the same deployment would be different for on-site setup.

The initial setup was very straightforward. It didn't take that much time to implement. Once we plug it into the network, we go into the controller, and it shows up. We give it a name, we apply, and that's it. It starts working. As long as it shows up on the controller that this is the new AP, it doesn't take more than two minutes to change the name and apply whatever.

The solution doesn't require maintenance. We just block ten new APs and one or two switches, we go on to the controller, and they all show up, and that's it. We just change the names and apply. Do the work and just finish it. We just add it to a network at the site, and we're good. It's fairly straightforward.

The initial setup is straightforward.

They give you a lot of options, but most of the defaults are good.

There are some configurations you will want to do over time as you learn. But, it is simple.

I work with some products where figuring out the configuration is extremely difficult and requires trial and error. It is simpler and easier to use with Ubiquiti.

This solution requires very low maintenance. If something goes wrong, I find out about it and either make a quick configuration change or do something similar, or every now and then, something goes out or doesn't work properly and I have to replace it. That would be a lot if I had to do something once a year.

The product’s initial setup is easy. I rate the process an eight out of ten. The complexity of the deployment depends on specific requirements. It takes a day and a half to complete.

The initial setup is straightforward. The only thing to note is that the edge max or the edge switches and the unified systems are two different platforms, which can make things more complicated for end-users managing two different platforms.

We are using a mixed implementation. So we use on-prem, and we also use some managed services for our clients.

We implement and deploy network solutions for our customers. This includes setting up the physical access points, then configuring them by adding them to access groups, making sure that the channels don't conflict with other devices, and so forth.

The deployment and models depend on the density of the access points in the space.

Ubiquiti WLAN's initial setup is straightforward. You won't have an issue if you know how to use the web-based controller. I haven't had any issues with the solution's setup. When I first started using it, it was like a different language, but once you learn it, it's easy.

The initial setup is not complex. It's very easy. There are obviously little places you can play with and learn about, for example, certain little benefits and features that you can enable or disable. However, if you want to get the WiFi network going on Ubiquiti, you just follow the wizard, and everything will just happen. You don't have to get too fancy.

For this particular project, I can say Ubiquiti was easy enough to set up. If you're on the same subnet layer, it is easy. The number of people needed for deployment and maintenance depends on the wireless network size. Usually, it's about one to two.

Initial setup is a little complicated, because it first requires configuration of the LAN environment before adopting the device. I mention this for those who are not regular users of the product. I don't have a problem with it but I know it's difficult for others. For someone who knows what they're doing, deployment takes about half an hour.
