Simple to use with a straightforward setup and a helpful user community
Pros and Cons
  • "UiPath has helped reduce human error."
  • "I've dealt with compatibility issues with Microsoft components."

What is our primary use case?

I'm using one or two robots. We use the solution for reports. We have another software yet we don't have support. Instead of pulling reports manually, we use the program to get the reports and pull them for us.

What is most valuable?

The solution is very simple. We can easily create robots. It's easy to build automation.

UiPath enables us to implement end-to-end automation. We have some manual procedures and it helps to complete those tasks.

We use the UiPath user community. It's free.

The amount of work we have is very small. We don't have big workflows. However, employees can now spend time on other things, and it's helped us manage our time around reporting.

The company has helped us minimize our on-site footprint.

We've used Academy courses. I've done classes myself. I don't use it every day. I've only used it once, actually.

The solution speeds up digital transformation and reduces the cost of digital transformation. with UiPath, we do not require expensive or complex application upgrades or IT application support.

UiPath has helped reduce human error. It has also freed up employee time. It has saved about 20 to 30 hours or so.

What needs improvement?

I've dealt with compatibility issues with Microsoft components. When we upgrade the UiPath framework, we might be able to fix the issue.

We'd like the accounting team to be able to have improved data out of SAP.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The product has been stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It's a scalable solution. We have about 150 people using the solution. We may increase the usage in the future if we have an opportunity to apply more robots.

How are customer service and support?

I haven't worked with technical support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not previously use a different solution.

How was the initial setup?

We're using the 2023 version of the solution.

I was involved in the implementation.

The setup was straightforward with the help of UiPath documentation. The implementation process took less than one day and we implemented with one or two people doing the work.

UiPath does require a bit of maintenance, however, it is not that much. We're mostly just dealing with compatibility issues with Microsoft.

What about the implementation team?

We deployed the product ourselves.

What was our ROI?

As for the cost, I'm not sure if it has saved us money. The customer still keeps the same number of employees, for example. That said, the important thing is to reduce the time it would take for them to handle tasks. In some ways, it's done that.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Our use case is still very small. Therefore, we don't want to buy a solution that is too big for us. We don't want to pay more than $10,000 USD for a license. Therefore, we're focused more on the community version.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did evaluate other options. We found UiPath to be more localized. They were one of the top solutions.

What other advice do I have?

We are UiPath partners.

We do not use the solution's AI functionality just yet. We're only using small automation. We also have yet to try the document understanding features. We still need to try some advanced features and I look forward to experimenting with it.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

I would recommend the solution to others who need to create automation.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

A user-friendly solution that minimizes FTEs by automating repetitive jobs done by employees on a daily basis
Pros and Cons
  • "UiPath is a user-friendly solution."
  • "Sometimes, the company's processes are very complex, and it's very hard to implement UiPath."

What is most valuable?

UiPath is a user-friendly solution.

What needs improvement?

Sometimes, the company's processes are very complex, and it's very hard to implement UiPath.

It also makes mistakes. Understanding your systems by yourself and implementing UiPath into your company processes is the hardest part. This could be improved so that the companies can easily implement the solution.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

UiPath's stability depends on how you implement it. If the solution is implemented correctly, it will work properly.

How are customer service and support?

UiPath's technical support is quite good and better than other solutions.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

What about the implementation team?

The first step in deploying UiPath is to learn the system you need to automate and then decide what can be automated in it. Sometimes, the processes are complex, and it's very expensive to automate them. When you know how to implement UiPath, it's easy to implement. So, the main study of your processes is necessary for the solution's implementation.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We had to select between Blue Prism and UiPath for our automation processes. We chose UiPath because it was more user-friendly.

What other advice do I have?

UiPath is deployed on our company’s internal cloud.

It is not that difficult to build automations using UiPath.

UiPath does enable us to implement end-to-end automation.

While implementing automation in your company, UiPath gives many benefits, like minimizing FTEs. Many of the employees are doing repetitive jobs on a daily basis, which can be done by robots or automation. Time reduction and error reduction are the main benefits we get from implementing UiPath.

UiPath has freed up employee time for our organization.

UiPath’s user community is very nice. Whenever you have some problems, you can get help from UiPath’s user community. UiPath is also very user-friendly, with many options to search on your own for YouTube videos that will help you.

UiPath has helped minimize our on-prem footprint by decreasing the FTEs and saving employee time, which is important to us.

We have used the vendor’s UiPath Academy courses.

The solution speeds up digital transformation, and it does not require expensive or complex application upgrades to do so. It depends on your work system because sometimes, you have to implement the whole automation system into your computers.

UiPath has saved costs for our organization.

Overall, I rate UiPath an eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Prerecorded and scripted processes can eliminate human error from majority of transactions
Pros and Cons
  • "The prebuilt AI models that are available in AI Center are valuable to us for things like invoice processing."

What is our primary use case?

We use it for automation with different applications and use Document Understanding, AI Center, and Action Center.

How has it helped my organization?

There is a good chance that people will make mistakes in manual operations, especially in whatever data-entry operation they do. By defining a solution in UiPath that is prerecorded and scripted, there is a lot of reduction in manual errors. If you have 100 transactions, 80 to 90 of them can be automated because they are straightforward cases. That means we can eliminate human error from 90 percent of the transactions.

In addition, the automation solutions that we, as a partner, implement for our clients reduce the amount of manual work and they are able to use their critical human resources for other useful processes.

    What is most valuable?

The prebuilt AI models that are available in AI Center are valuable to us for things like invoice processing.

UiPath is also a solution that is user-friendly for developers with a lot of prebuilt activities and ML models. It enables developers to quickly develop a solution.

We can also implement end-to-end automation.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath for the past four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It's absolutely a stable product. It has been in the market for more than six years. Whatever solution we develop for a client is completely stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

    It's definitely a scalable solution.

How are customer service and support?

The first level of support is that we search for solutions in the forum of the UiPath user community. Most of the time, we'll get a solution there. If not, we'll contact the technical support.

If I raise an urgent ticket, they quickly respond. Within an hour I'll get a call, and they'll arrange a team within two to three hours.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I used Automation Anywhere. Out of 10, UiPath stands somewhere around 8.5 to nine, while Automation Anywhere is around 7.5. The reason for that difference is UiPath's user-friendliness and versatility on the development side. For example, if you want to integrate it with VB code, UiPath provides a lot of options. And on the Excel automation side, UiPath is more reliable than Automation Anywhere.

In RPA, UiPath is far ahead compared to Automation Anywhere.

    How was the initial setup?

For some clients it's on-prem and other clients have deployed the cloud option.

The amount of time it takes to set up depends on the components a client purchases. If they only purchase the basic components of Orchestrator, a robot, and Studio, it may take only two to three days, or a maximum of five days, for the deployment. But if they go for high availability and some kind of DR setup, that would take an additional week of deployment. And for AI Center, it will take another week. Deployment usually requires two to three people. We involve the infra engineer, the database engineer, and a solution architect.

As for maintenance of UiPath itself, there are updates that may impact a solution and we will need to upgrade the packages, for example, legacy Windows. UiPath updates very frequently, and they don't support the earlier products. Officially, they are not supposed to support three of the versions. That means customers have to update within a year or two years.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

UiPath solutions fit European and American clients, but especially for medium- and small-sized businesses in India, the cost may be the one factor that constrains customers. That's especially true when it comes to AI and ML solutions. It would be helpful for small and medium businesses if there were a reduced level or some kind of modified licensing.

On a scale from one to 10, where one is cheap and 10 is expensive, UiPath is an eight or nine for the region that we work in. But in other regions, it is somewhere around six to seven.

What other advice do I have?

The solutions we provide to clients to automate their business processes need maintenance. They can usually take on a few processes on their own, but if it goes beyond 10 processes, some level of bot admin is required.

We don't need a proof of concept for a product that has been on the market for a long time. In the past three or four years, UiPath has been a proven solution. Customers can rely on the solution. We just have to make sure that their requirements can be met by the solution, and the other aspect is the cost. If these two aspects are taken care of, we can recommend that people go with UiPath.

UiPath is one of the leaders in RPA technology, and we get more business from it. Customers either want UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate. But most of our business is with UiPath. They keep on updating it and are building their own RPA ecosystem. That makes it very easy to convince clients to stick with this one platform for multiple solutions.

Saves us time, and money, and is user-friendly
    Pros and Cons
    • "Compared to other RPA tools that require knowledge of a programming language, UiPath requires less coding."
    • "UiPath needs to improve the selector and offer better integration for Python."

What is our primary use case?

We use UiPath to automate the repetitive reporting tasks in our organization. I am currently using UiPath for five Oracle-based projects.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath has increased our organization's productivity and efficiency and saved us money.

There is a short learning curve. We can learn to use it in one month, compared to other RPA solutions that take three months.

Building automation using UiPath is simple.

UiPath enables us to implement end-to-end automation. First, I build the code based on the customer's requirements and run the code in UiPath. Then, I run the code using an orchestrator on our VM when it is put into production.

The UiPath Community is a great place to find information without having to contact the technical support team.

I am a big fan of the UiPath Academy courses. When I first started using UiPath, I took all of the courses, which helped me immensely. Whenever I need to learn a new UiPath task, I simply go to the Academy courses.

UiPath helps speed up digital transformation and reduce costs.

If we input data into UiPath correctly, it can help reduce human error by 95 percent.

UiPath has helped to free up 25 percent of our employees' time by automating recurring tasks, allowing them to focus on other tasks.

It has helped our organization save around 30 percent of our organizational costs.

    What is most valuable?

UiPath is user-friendly. Compared to other RPA tools that require knowledge of a programming language, UiPath requires less coding.

    What needs improvement?

Occasionally, we receive an error message stating that a UiPath element is invalid, even though it should be working. This is frustrating and needs to be addressed.

UiPath needs to improve the selector and offer better integration for Python.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability a seven out of ten because we sometimes encounter errors.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate the scalability an eight out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support is good but I usually find my answers using the UiPath Community forum.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Neutral

    How was the initial setup?

The deployment is not complex compared to other RPAs that require knowledge of Python or Java.

Deployment time varies depending on the use case but averages two to three days.

One person can complete the deployment.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

UiPath offers two versions of its solution: a free Community edition and a licensed Enterprise edition. The Enterprise edition includes all features and automatic updates, which are not available in the Community edition.

The cost for UiPath is affordable.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate UiPath a nine out of ten.

Basic maintenance is required for UiPath.

We have UiPath deployed in four of our departments including sales, booking, comp, and operations. In my department, we have five UiPath licenses.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

    Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Can function 24 hours a day, has a great user community, and reduces the cost of automation
    Pros and Cons
    • "The most valuable feature is the ability to utilize UiPath beyond our scheduled work hours, making it available 24 hours a day."
    • "If UiPath could interact with more popular applications currently available, it would be highly beneficial."

What is our primary use case?

We use UiPath for data scraping to extract information. Specifically, as a financial institution, we gather financial information from various websites. UiPath helps us extract the required data from these web pages. Additionally, we have another use case where we track tickets for vehicles here in Guatemala. Furthermore, we utilize UiPath for internal processes, such as generating reports and publishing information on social media.

How has it helped my organization?

Building automation with UiPath is made easy by the presence of UiPath Academy. We have access to all the basic and intermediate courses, and the solution is designed to be user-friendly.

UiPath enables us to extract information from various websites and share it on social media, which has had a significant impact on our organization.

UiPath's user community provides excellent value. The community has helped us with many things we were not aware of.

We can enroll our employees and programmers in UiPath Academy. This will help our programmers generate ideas about the tasks they can accomplish using UiPath and share their ideas with others.

UiPath facilitates the enhancement of our digital transformation while simultaneously reducing the cost of digital automation.

UiPath has helped us reduce human errors. In the past, we relied on a person to post on our social media every morning, and there were times when they would forget. With UiPath, we can now post every morning on time with zero errors.

UiPath has helped us save employees' time, allowing them to focus on other projects. Previously, our users had to manually generate 50 to 60 reports from various organizations. However, with UiPath, these reports are now generated automatically, freeing up our users' time to analyze the data instead of spending it on report generation.

    What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the ability to utilize UiPath beyond our scheduled work hours, making it available 24 hours a day.

    What needs improvement?

UiPath can enhance the number of applications with which we can interact. Technology has a significant impact these days, especially in the realm of social media. If UiPath could interact with more popular applications currently available, it would be highly beneficial.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath for 15 years.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support is excellent and responds quickly.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Positive

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We also had to pay for Bloomberg Automation in order to effectively utilize UiPath in our organization.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate UiPath a ten out of ten. With UiPath, we are able to accomplish nearly all the ideas that our partners have generated, except for those involving third parties.

I recommend UiPath, but the only way to truly determine its effectiveness within an organization and its potential for cost savings is to give it a try.

Helped us realize cost savings by eliminating multiple FTEs
    Pros and Cons
    • "I like the UiPath Orchestrator. The Marketplace is also helpful because there are pre-built automations we can use."
    • "I rate UiPath support six out of 10. It's primarily an email-based model. Sometimes we have questions, and it takes days for them to respond and sort our issue out."

What is our primary use case?

I work at a large retailer and we use UiPath to support the HR and e-commerce departments. For example, we can automate the management of HR tasks, such as scheduling training courses for associates. We have around 500 bots running in production.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath helped us realize some cost savings by eliminating several FTEs.
UiPath freed up our employees to work on other things. Instead of doing repetitive tasks, they can learn new skills or work on more exciting jobs. When we automate, we don't lay off employees. They're shifted to other projects once a robot takes over their process.

I set up the entire automation team in 2017. The UiPath Academy courses have been useful for training our staff. I have completed almost all of the certifications.

It's challenging if you don't have knowledge bases or community forums. When UiPath first launched, we had to Google everything, and it was hard to find accurate information. UiPath Academy has enabled me to grow professionally. I started as a developer and later became a technical lead. Now I'm in an architect role.

A robust user community is essential for any solution. The community updates us about new features in the latest release notes. We can ask the community about how to deal with common problems and always get a quick response. Users can create custom solutions and upload them to the marketplace.

    What is most valuable?

I like the UiPath Orchestrator. The Marketplace is also helpful because there are pre-built automations we can use. One of our processes is used to manage annual charitable donations.

We use UiPath for end-to-end automation but only for about half of our processes. We've also integrated the solution with other tools.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used UiPath for eight years.

How are customer service and support?

I rate UiPath support six out of 10. It's primarily an email-based model. Sometimes we have questions, and it takes days for them to respond and sort our issue out.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

My firm uses two or three tools, but most of our bots in production use UiPath.

    How was the initial setup?

I was present for the initial deployment, and I have been involved with the upgrades. Everything went smoothly.

    What about the implementation team?

We relied on the UiPath team during the initial phases, but we've developed in-house expertise since then. I did the last upgrade for the UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, etc.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The licensing model could be improved. UiPath charges more if you increase the number of components. It should be included within the premium licensing. We have 100 percent end-to-end automation for some of our processes. However, we're limited by the licensing from fully automating all of them. We can't use all the features.

Helped our organization by eliminating repetitive job tasks
    Pros and Cons
    • "The most valuable features are CR capabilities and logistics automation."
    • "UiPath can improve its AS center region by expanding its reach and addressing technical difficulties in certain areas."

What is our primary use case?

We do not have any specific use cases for UiPath. We automate areas where we have a large volume of work.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath makes it easy to build automation because it uses a drag-and-drop interface and requires little coding.

We use UiPath to automate our repetitive processes. This reduces manual effort, freeing up employees to focus on other tasks, such as learning new skills and improving their careers. Doing repetitive tasks on a daily basis does not help employees develop their skills or advance their careers.

An associate in the loan approval process must validate licenses, forms, and certain records of the floor person before approving the loan for the next level. This person goes through a lot of paperwork on a daily basis, which can be very tiring. However, we now have UiPath, which uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to extract all the information from the licenses. This reduces the associate's workload by 50 percent, allowing them to complete the rest of the job more easily.

UiPath's automation has resulted in zero errors.

UiPath enables us to implement end-to-end automation. The solution includes all of the components necessary for end-to-end automation, from process identification to deployment. End-to-end automation is very important because it can help businesses save time and money. To identify a process that can be automated, we can either speak with the business team or use UiPath's process mining capacity. Process mining is a technique that can automatically analyze business processes and identify areas that can be automated. Once we have identified a process that can be automated, we can use UiPath to create a robot to automate the process.

UiPath's user community is very large with millions of users. Everyone has questions, and if we have a question, we don't have to post and wait for an answer. There is always someone who already answered the question. For example, if I have a question about selectors, there will be answers to my question. The user community is like a database of answers.

UiPath helped our organization by eliminating repetitive job tasks.

UiPath helped us minimize our on-premises footprint, which is important. For example, let's say an employee used to have to come into the office to check papers or documents to determine if a loan could be processed for a particular individual. Now, that employee can do that work remotely. There is no need for them to go to the dealer and collect all the papers, which can then be submitted or uploaded into a software program. The employee can now do all of this work from their computer.

All team members are required to participate in the UiPath Academy courses suggested by UiPath and to complete the certification. Access to UiPath Academy is great because our employees do not have to go to a particular coaching center to get a certification. They can do it on their own, on their mobile devices, at home, or on their laptops. They can learn at their own pace and in their own time. UiPath Academy has excellent examples and assessments for each chapter, which makes it easier to complete the course.

The AI functionality affects our ability to automate more complex processes. For example, in the UK, there are five different types of licenses that individuals may need to obtain in order to be approved for a loan. This means that there are numerous licenses that need to be processed for each loan application. In order to determine whether a license is expired or legitimate, we need to manually review each one. This can be a time-consuming and error-prone process. However, using AI and machine learning, we can automate this process. AI can be used to identify the different types of licenses that are required for a loan application. Machine learning can then be used to train a model to determine whether a license is expired or legitimate. This allows us to automate the entire process, which can save us time and money.

In our data center, we are unable to develop certain processes because existing rule-based automation is not sufficient. End-to-end automation helps our data center implementation.

UiPath helps reduce the cost of our digital transformation and it does not require upgrades or IT application support.
