What is our primary use case?

I am working with a Telecommunication company. I work on the software side and IT infrastructure side for the company. We had an EFT, and we needed to automate some functions. That is the main reason for using UiPath. We are able to do service failure handling, order handling, and other tasks. Currently, there are ten to twelve use cases related to telecommunication, but we are planning to automate most of the systems.

We have not yet used the AI functionality, but we are planning to use it in the next year.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath automation has been helpful for the support team. With the error rate that we had, we could not manage the system. We could not manage the work with the people we had. We had five people on the team. By automating five or six operations, we are operating with two people. The other three people are working in other areas. We also did some automation for operations for the service provisioning team. In that team also, they had some resource issues with two to three people. They are now running operations without any issues. We have also automated use cases related to workflow for the call center back office. We have automated processes related to broadband customer changes. The savings vary from use case to use case. Overall, the support team has replaced five to six members, and the back office team now works with half the team. In some cases, we did not have human resources at all. We automated those processes, and they are functioning without human resources.

UiPath has helped to minimize our on-prem footprint.

UiPath has helped to automate repetitive tasks. Our teams were getting tired because they were doing the same thing. There are also benefits in terms of efficiency because bots can run 24/7.

UiPath has also helped with accuracy. We have 100% accuracy.

UiPath has reduced human error. We are not manually entering the values. They are coming directly from Excel. There are no misunderstanding issues. Bots only do what they are instructed or programmed to do.

UiPath has freed up 50% to 60% of the time of our staff.

What is most valuable?

Its integration is valuable, and it is very easy to use. I could do self-study and get started with the Community edition of UiPath. I have tried Blue Prism and Automation Anywhere. When I compare UiPath with these solutions, UiPath is easier to use. There is also a lot of community support. I have taken a lot of support from the UiPath Community. UiPath has a very good community, so I feel it is very easy.

What needs improvement?

There were one or two bugs, but they have already been fixed. At the functional level, UiPath is almost perfect. The only area for improvement would be the ability to use code. In Blue Prism and other tools, we can write the code, whereas UiPath is drag-and-drop, so sometimes we have limitations when it comes to implementation.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath since 2020. It has been almost three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We have had some issues with the Community version, but in the licensed version, we have not had any issues. I would rate it a nine out of ten in terms of stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is scalable. We started with one attended bot and one unattended bot, and now, we have three attended bots and three unattended bots. If we increase the number of projects, we can get a new license and deploy the bots. It is very scalable.

If we are not using a license, we can remove that license in the next year, but that has not happened. Every day, we are increasing the processes.

How are customer service and support?

UiPath has a good community. If we have a problem, we can resolve almost all of our problems through the information available on the Internet. The design part is simple, and we have to design the system as the requirement but during the implementation, if we need it, we can get help from the community.

I have also used UiPath Academy. They provide a good foundation. We can learn the basic things about Excel automation and other functions. They cover the user cases for implementation. I have followed many things, and it has been a good support for me.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have worked with Blue Prism and Automation Anywhere. Both Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism are complex, whereas UiPath is very simple. It is easy to learn. A beginner can easily and quickly work with UiPath, whereas it takes time to work with Blue Prism. UiPath is easy, and we can quickly learn UiPath. Its learning curve is low.

UiPath has a huge community. The community support is less with other tools.

How was the initial setup?

We have had on-premises and cloud deployments. Currently, we are using the cloud one. The initial deployment took one or two days. It was not that difficult. The implementation of a use case takes one to two months.

In terms of maintenance, we need to maintain our infrastructure and bots. There may be some issues with the bots, and we need to monitor whether the functionalities are completed or not. 

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Its price is reasonable. UiPath's licensing is not a problem for us because we are a big company, but for small companies that need automation, it is difficult to afford. I am from Sri Lanka, and in our country, SMBs do not invest this amount of money into licensing. For a big company, it is not an issue. 

Currently, we have five to six bots, and we are planning to increase them every year. It would be nice to have a version that has fewer features and a lower price.

What other advice do I have?

UiPath is one of the best tools I have used. I have worked on Java and most web services technologies. Robotic process automation is one of the best technologies I have come across.

I would rate UiPath a nine out of ten.

What is our primary use case?

We have multiple use cases, including banking and finance. We are primarily taking data from PDFs and manipulating it in Excel, but we also build some UI-related automations. 

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath has saved my team some time by streamlining our processes. Previously, it took nearly a month to complete the accounting processes, but we've reduced it to one week. Before we implemented UiPath, they were working day and night to complete the task, so it reduced the time by almost 90 percent. We're further refining the process to reduce the time to five or six days.

The solution has reduced human error, which also saves us some time because we don't need to go back and correct mistakes. It's almost 100 percent error-free. It saves us money from server costs when we automate processes because there are typically so many people working on the same task. It reduces payroll costs. 

The UiPath Academy offers multiple certificates, which is excellent because we're asked for certifications during our interviews and audits. We've completed most of the UiPath Academy course. There's a foundational certification, and UiPath offers additional courses when they launch a new feature. We can get a deeper understanding of that particular function. The best thing is that it's free, and anyone can access the academy courses. 

What is most valuable?

UiPath's interface is excellent and accessible to new developers. It's easier for beginners to learn, and the learning curve is shorter compared to other tools. If you know Python and any other programming language, writing custom scripts is simple. Other solutions like Robocop and Power Automate have less flexibility in the scripting languages you can use.

We can implement end-to-end automation in most cases because we can use a different language if we encounter any limitations. For example, in one of my projects, we had an issue extracting the data from a scanned document. After reading that scanned copy, it couldn't pull the correct number. We could clean the image using Python scripting, and recreate it so that the output was correct. If we reach a hurdle we can't get over, we can switch to a different scripting language. 

UiPath's community is another thing that sets it apart from other RPA tools. Whenever we get stuck on something, we can go to the community to see if others are facing the same issue. There are many queries in that forum. That's how my team often solves an issue. The forum will have the solution 90 percent of the time. It's a fantastic resource. 

What needs improvement?

UiPath could improve machine learning for its Document Understanding module. We have to train that model to pull the data from different digitized or non-digitized documents. The classification could be improved, but I'm not sure how they could make it better. 

Sometimes, we get an error when we are developing something in the UiPath Studio for Salesforce. It gives me an error when I create one line of code, but I don't get the error when I make the same line of code again. We also get some bugs when UiPath adds new features. If we're developing multiple activities on one core, it can slow the response times a bit, and it will take more time when we try to download the dependencies or other packages. 

If we're doing UI-related automation, updates to the website might remove a specific UI element, and it affects the code. That's a drawback to using UiPath for a website.

I have used UiPath for more than four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

There are some performance issues during development. When we transfer a process from one machine to another using GitHub, it will work fine on my machine, but it will take time for the other developers to redownload the particular dependencies. It is not going to update immediately. 

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I rate UiPath nine out of 10 for scalability. 

How are customer service and support?

I rate UiPath support seven out of 10. Their frontline support agents don't know that much and often cannot recognize the issue. After contacting UiPath two or three times, they finally assigned us a technical person who could resolve the issue within twenty minutes. However, it took two or three days altogether. Our bot wasn't functioning for that entire time.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have used other RPA tools, including Robocorp, Power Automate, and Automation Edge. UiPath is great for data manipulation. When we want to take values from tables like columns and rows, it's effortless because it's using the .NET language. I use Power Automate and Robocorp because some clients need to develop their processes with these tools. 

UiPath is better than the alternatives, but some of the other tools perform better. For example, if I have the same code in Robocorp and UiPath and run the processes at the same time, Robocorp will complete faster if we're only considering UI-related automation. In most use cases, it's the same, but Robocorp is a little bit faster when automating UI-related processes because it's directly selecting that particular UI element. 

If I want to click to the next page and process the data, it will be faster in Robocorp. In UiPath, it's easier to develop the code and configure the bot, but Robocorp is faster. 

How was the initial setup?

Deploying UiPath is easy. Only one person is needed to install it. It takes around two or three hours to install and configure the solution because the file is larger We have to download UiPath Studio and other components

UiPath requires some maintenance. If the process involves a user interface, we need to adjust it when the website is updated and a UI element is changed. When that happens, we need to update the code that references that particular UI element.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

UiPath is expensive compared to other solutions like AutomationEdge, which is cheap. Last year, it wasn't too high, but I believe they updated their licensing model, making it very costly.

What other advice do I have?

I rate UiPath eight out of 10. UiPath is an excellent tool, and you can get support quickly from UiPath. One thing I would note is that you can negotiate with UiPath for lower initial costs, but they will likely increase the price after you enroll.

What is our primary use case?

We use UiPath to build attended and unattended automated processes for public and private sector clients. I try to make the processes as slim as possible so that they aren't as dependent on external applications. We have an abundance of documentation, and the goal is to have very little overhead. 

How has it helped my organization?

All the businesses where we've deployed UiPath were pleased with the solution. They saw immediate benefits to the bottom line, and employees were no longer stuck doing repetitive stuff. Organizations typically start realizing the benefits in the first month.

UiPath has reduced human error. It also offers visibility that helps build rapport between contractors like me and my clients in the federal government or other process owners we're working with. The solution cuts the costs associated with digital transformation. The more you want to digitally transform your business, the more expensive it will be. With UiPath, that means the solution needs to use more of the product offerings, like IDP, the AI panel, and other stuff like that. But even with the minimal architecture, it will still cost at least a little bit.

UiPath significantly frees up employee time. On average, I estimate it saves between 50 to 100 hours per automation annually. The amount of money saved offsets the cost of licensing because you're saving time and reducing headaches. 

What is most valuable?

I like UiPath's Orchestrator. It's the core piece.  Automations are relatively easy to build. There is a learning curve initially, but I would rate it seven out of 10 for ease of building automation. The end-to-end automation is critical. It helps us develop a strategy where everyone has their things automated, saving time throughout the organization. The UiPath community forums are a helpful resource where you can contribute and get answers. 

What needs improvement?

I think UiPath's documentation for new features is a bit incomplete at times.

I have used UiPath for around four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability depends on the VM you're running UiPath on, so that's not even really UiPath at that point.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath prides itself on being very scalable. The unattended RPAs make it easy to scale. If you need to add more bots to run more processes, you can just have your IT department provision a new VM and buy more unattended licenses.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Previously, I used Power Automate mainly for its API integration and cloud workflows. I wasn't using it as an RPA solution. 

How was the initial setup?

Due to the ridiculous nature of the government and the premium associated with adopting newer things, we can only do attended bot deployment right now. That means we publish new packages, send them via email, and deploy them on their type of system. In any other RPA shop, we would publish to Orchestrator and manage the process from there. The deployment is straightforward once you know what you're doing, but we need to maintain some oversight on the beginners to ensure they publish the processes correctly.  

I would like to see a GitLab model. In a CI/CD pipeline, it runs a series of tests after every commit to ensure that everything's functioning. It doesn't require maintenance so long as the engine keeps running, but we review the processes annually to see if there are any pain points or if anything needs optimization. 

What was our ROI?

There's an ROI despite the high cost. We save time, and many of the processes are much more robust than they could be if they were performed manually. UiPath can process an Excel file with thousands of rows. Human employees can do that by themselves, but bots can do the job so much faster. 

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I think UiPath costs too much. They know they're top dogs, and that's fine, but I would never recommend them for anything other than a large enterprise or the federal government. There are development costs and unattended bot licenses are more expensive. UiPath has additional apps you can purchase that all have separate costs.

UiPath is a general automation tool that's useful in multiple cases, such as finance, HR, and cybersecurity. We have around 8,000 indirect users. Thousands see the reports generated by UiPath daily. 

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath has helped my company to increase productivity, and it has financial implications. We can reduce the number of full-time employees we need, and existing FTEs can concentrate on more important work. It has reduced the time spent on repetitive tasks by about 30 percent. UiPath is particularly beneficial to employees who work night shifts. They don't need to wake up early to run the reports. It's automated, so they have the reports in their inboxes as soon as they wake up. 

It gives us the power to scale up because we can process a greater volume of tasks by adding more bots, and we can accomplish things we could not do without adding staff. 

UiPath reduces human error in terms of understanding what is written and changing it. It does not have the intelligence to think or manipulate the values that it sees, but it can change a value from x to y, reducing human error. It depends on the use case, but a bot is a lot less likely than a human to make errors when performing certain tasks, like converting a dollar amount to euros or pounds.

We have a hybrid environment with a small on-prem installation and AWS, but we plan to transition fully to the cloud by next year, so it has definitely decreased our on-prem footprint and the maintenance requirements from our side. We don't need to do as much stack maintenance on our physical infrastructure. 

The UiPath Academy courses help the team to learn and understand what is going on. The great part is that it's free. With some products, you can only access the learning materials with an enterprise license. However, UiPath enables you to take the courses even if you are only using the community version. 

We have experimented with UiPath's AI functions, but we have not used them in production. We are working with the solution's Document Understanding capabilities, and our AI team is creating a few use cases for us.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the UiPath Community, where developers can share and collaborate. We realize a lot of value and utility from developers coming together. That's a significant advantage UiPath has over its competitors. It has helped us understand what other people are doing and contribute to the community. Aside from that, the UI automation is pretty good with respect to error handling and other stuff.

The UiPath user community is pretty engaged. You rarely see this level of engagement on other platforms. There are thousands of questions, and when you post a new one, you can usually get an answer within five minutes. That shows how engaged the community is. You can also get a fast response from the company itself. They connect with their users through regular seminars and events like mini-hackathons and demos.

Building automations in UiPath is simple. It's a safe, low-code platform. The drag-and-drop workflows make it accessible to non-technical people, and it's becoming even easier with the advent of generative AI. You can just type whatever you want to create, and it can do it for you.

We have been developing some processes that can help with climate issues. UiPath can help us track our carbon emissions. We have various portals where we report our progress on our climate goals, and we can gather the data using UiPath quickly and provide timely updates to the government.

With UiPath, we can implement end-to-end automation involving integration with multiple products. We can add chatbots in the front and process mining or data mining. Through process mining, we can automate use cases as we get them. This capability was not available earlier. We can analyze the bots and derive insights from UiPath, which makes it end-to-end. 

What needs improvement?

UiPath should make more of its advanced capabilities available to non-technical users through additional low-code features. They should also enhance their AI features and make more machine learning models available out of the box through the UiPath store.

UiPath is a stable product, but there are still some areas where it could improve.

The scalability depends on the design of the board. If I follow single designs, there might not be a possibility to scale it. But if I follow a design where I have Master, the pro producer, and consumer problem where I have some bots that are just collecting the information and some parts just processing that information. That way it can be scaled, but that will be dependent on the design of the problem.

I rate UiPath support nine out of 10. The turnaround time is typically a day. We might get a callback the next day if it's something more complex, but the ticket is usually closed within two days.

I have previously used Automation Anywhere but not at my current company. A lot of people use Automation Anywhere. However, it's more of a closed ecosystem, so you don't have access to the creativity of other developers. With UiPath, developers can publish their processes to be reused by others. That is not available in Automation Anywhere. It's like the Android store where I can publish my app in the store, and people can use it whether it is monitored or not.

How was the initial setup?

Our deployment took around four to six months. The initial deployment was simple, but it took some time to set up the architecture. We needed to get approval from our cloud team to set UiPath up and integrate it. Around five to seven people were involved. The solution is deployed across multiple locations and departments. 

We have to perform some maintenance on the software that UiPath is automating. When we build a database, we need to archive it so that we don't exceed the requirements. We have to delete logs regularly, and the machines require software updates. It isn't specific to UiPath.

What was our ROI?

We've seen a significant return on our investment. For example, when we needed to do a lot of data migration because we were transitioning to a new platform, we previously had to hire outsourced contractors to do that manually.

We estimate that UiPath has saved the Navy about 156,000 hours. I rate it a ten out of ten. You need to understand the tool's processes.

The customer was inquiring about payments, whether the payment was fully paid, partially paid, or whether there was an outstanding balance or payment discrepancy.

It was for a US client, and based on some validations, checks, and settings, I needed to identify if the payment was on time, delayed, or never paid. I had to commit to determining the information or data for my customer, which included many validation business rules. I had to consider the checkpoints before replying to the customer's query.

The query used to come through email, and I needed to extract the emails, identify what the query was for, and then go ahead and provide the solution.

How has it helped my organization?

Many new improvements in UiPath after 2018 have helped end users stay competitive in the market, such as document understanding and process mining. UiPath has also helped significantly in documenting scanned invoices and restructuring processes. UiPath is continually growing and updating, and that is a big help to organizations.

What is most valuable?

What I like best about UiPath is that it's undoubtedly the leader in the market.

I like that the solution makes life easier through its multiple features. It's easy to use UiPath through its Excel functionality, a basic application you need. UiPath also has many connectors available, so using the solution is easier.

I also found the document understanding feature of UiPath helpful in automating data from PDFs, whether it's to classify or extract information from documents. The document understanding feature also has many extractors, making data extraction easy to apply to the existing company processes, one of the best features of UiPath.

Compared to other RPA tools, such as Blue Prism and Power Automate, UiPath stands out in terms of the scalability of automation that you can do on the platform. UiPath is more reliable and has many actions available for almost every application, which is why the solution stands out.

Building automation using UiPath is simple, but it would still depend on the developer or designer. If you do not plan the process correctly, it will be messy. Regarding the actions for building automation, you can pull and drop into boxes, so it's easy.

My company used UiPath to automate processes dealing with a good cause, mainly giving people more free time to focus on learning new skills and growing professionally rather than spending all the time working on repetitive, mundane tasks. My company automated a process for the customer and delivered that to the customer.

UiPath enabled my company to implement end-to-end automation. Still, there may be a few requirements that would make the solution not feasible, for example, applications where it would be challenging to use UiPath, even with plug-ins.

The UiPath User Community is the biggest out of all communities by other platforms, and I found the community helpful. Many experts in the UiPath User Community are ready to help.

I've used UiPath Academy. Its courses helped me in understanding UiPath in detail. I started learning the solution from the academy itself. It is great because it covers all the basics and advanced topics. UiPath Academy is a one-stop solution for learning UiPath and its products, services, and offerings.

The solution has also helped in speeding up digital transformation.

Uipath has helped reduce human error in any process or task that is rule-based, which doesn't need any human interference or judgment. My company developed tasks on the platform and created code to handle specific situations or scenarios that completely took care of manual intervention or manual efforts plus, the deployment was easy, and the solution saved a lot of manual effort. UiPath reduced human error by up to ninety percent.

The solution helped free up employee time by up to forty percent after the automation by reducing the need for employees to work on repetitive tasks so employees could focus on other, more challenging tasks, including learning new skills.

What needs improvement?

One area for improvement in UiPath is that the orientation could be better.

Debugging also needs improvement because I need to do it from scratch whenever I have to debug a code. I have to run the entire code from the start and then check the pointers. If a specific action can be developed in UiPath, instead of running the code from the beginning, it would allow you to debug the code from the point that needs debugging, saving a significant amount of time.

My company has tested the AI functionality of UiPath, and for complex processes, it takes a lot of time to develop the processes from a development point. When a process is complex, it depends on the end users or developers on how to break the requirement into small pieces. Suppose you do not break it into small pieces and create a single push out of it. In that case, it will become a lengthy code inside UiPath Studio, making maintaining and monitoring that code difficult inside UiPath Studio. Locating the error or actual information would also take more work, so UiPath could be challenging to use in complex process automation.

Pricing for UiPath also needs improvement as it becomes expensive in large-scale implementations.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

My company used Blue Prism before UiPath. I work for a service-based company, with clients choosing the tools based on priorities. UiPath was cheaper than Blue Prism, but when you use it for a large-scale RPA implementation where you deploy hundreds of robots, UiPath becomes more expensive than Blue Prism. However, development on UiPath was significantly faster and more reliable compared to Blue Prism. UiPath also has a larger community offering support versus Blue Prism and even has free training on UiPath Academy. UiPath also offered a free trial, which Blue Prism didn't offer. These are the reasons for switching to UiPath.

How was the initial setup?

Setting up the UiPath infrastructure was a little tricky, but the deployment was much easier. It usually takes one month to complete the deployment if the process is simple, but it could take up to three months for a complex process. Compared to other tools, the deployment and development of UiPath was faster.

What was our ROI?

In terms of manual efforts, realizing the benefits of UiPath was immediate, but for the financial benefits or ROI, it took some time, as the solution has a huge cost. It required you to purchase the UiPath Studio, Robot, and Architectural licenses. You also have to pay for the development costs, so the monetary benefits took time to reflect in the cash flow.

My company did notice between sixty to seventy percent ROI from UiPath, which was calculated around the number of FTEs, mainly how many FTEs were released from a specific task. For example, there was a big project with sixteen FTEs released from a repetitive task.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

When there's a massive deployment of robots, pricing for UiPath becomes costly, as you must purchase different licenses for UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, etc. I noticed that it would solely depend on how service-based companies negotiate with UiPath and that each client could have a pricing disparity. A client with a more significant implementation could get more discount, pricing-wise.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I had the chance to work with Blue Prism and Power Automate.

What other advice do I have?

UiPath does not require extensive or complex application upgrades and support, at least not for every application. Sometimes, support is needed depending on the project or application, but the chance of it would be very slim.

UiPath was deployed on-premises. In terms of environments or locations, the solution was deployed in three different environments: in the Studio, Orchestrator, and Testing.

The number of users of the solution varies per project, but the maximum number of users I've worked with on a single project is about thirteen or fourteen.

My company has worked with small, medium, and large enterprises using UiPath.

The solution doesn't require maintenance. It just requires license renewal.

My rating for UiPath is seven out of ten. I'd make it a ten if UiPath improves the appearance of the Studio. Its debugging process could also be improved, as it's currently complex. It could be easier.

What is our primary use case?

We use UiPath to create automation for our clients. The best use cases are the ones where we automate an old system. We had instances where we migrated one customer's data over to another. Until that migration occurred to the new system, we could get an automated solution using the old system.

How has it helped my organization?

The product provides better customer service and builds better customer relationships. Customers receive statuses and reports in a timely manner. Instead of somebody constantly sending out emails to customers, automation is doing it for us.

What is most valuable?

I was doing automation development before UiPath and did everything typically by code. It had its own functionalities. However, when navigating older systems, we can use the solution's user interface to tell the cursor to go to a specific location on a screen. Another functionality also supported by the product is the ability to select the selectors, where we can define a specific attribute to a button and ensure the cursor clicks it. The user interface guide helps speed up automation development for customers. We can also use background code, so we have coding capabilities and a user interface to navigate some of the older systems.

What needs improvement?

UiPath provides Cloud Robots functionality but they should provide more Cloud Robot integrations. I feel that Cloud Robots must have a very, very strong integration with AWS or some type of cloud service where that integration is almost seamless.

We use a lot of virtual machines. It would be nice if UiPath checks the virtual machines and ensures they perform well. We have run into some performance issues. The product must have better performance checks to determine whether a virtual machine fits the functionality or if something is missing. It would be great to know if we will run into some issues. We will be able to think ahead of it.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath for more than three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The tool has some bugs, and it doesn’t respond sometimes. However, it’s no more unstable than Windows. It is fairly stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We’re new to the tool. Around five people are using it in our department. The product must improve its scalability. Our security team hasn't approved the Cloud Robots functionality in some cases. I've noticed that our time gap is getting smaller, and we may need additional virtual environments. That is why I wanted better integration with the cloud. It will allow us to be able to launch virtual environments immediately. We would love it if the product could provide the same scalability that AWS provides. We would love the same type of scalability when integrating cloud functionalities with UiPath. If it needs another environment, another environment must shoot up right away so that we can immediately start working on it.

How are customer service and support?

I haven't used the technical support. When we contacted the other department connected to technical support, we got responses and workarounds within a few days. The support has been decent. The team replies pretty quickly.

How was the initial setup?

The solution is deployed on the cloud. The deployment was straightforward. The deployment was pretty quick. It was done within a few minutes. For my current organization, we need one person to deploy the product. My organization has multiple departments, but I only operate on one.

What about the implementation team?

The solution does require maintenance. While dealing with our websites, some changes or updates are done, and then we make changes to the code.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I chose UiPath because it offered UiPath Community, where I could learn UiPath on my own without a business license. I like the idea that there's community support for UiPath. We can learn and teach ourselves. I like UiPath Enterprise, too. Since they have a community version, it makes learning UiPath much better and easier.

What other advice do I have?

Building automation using the product is pretty easy. Over time, we get better and better through experience and create it more efficiently. Some of the additional functionality released by UiPath helps us enhance our automation. The solution speeds up digital transformation. We transitioned to a brand-new system. As we transitioned, we spent a lot of money on this new system and found there were limitations to the system. We used UiPath to mitigate that cost tremendously.

UiPath enables companies to implement end-to-end automation. Currently, we do not have end-to-end automation. Our company is going through a strong transformation. The processes are still a bit archaic. We use digital transformation to help us do our jobs first. Eventually, this will lead to automating new processes rather than someone else doing it. A bot doing 24/7 automation is better than someone assigned to do it 24/7.

We are not using the product's AI functionality yet. However, we are looking into incorporating AI functionality. The product has freed up a lot of employee time. The solution has saved us more than $ 400 a month in the current project. The solution has reduced human error. A lot of the work that the bots do is tedious, like sending a hundred emails to customers or consolidating reports from five different sources. Mistakes can happen in these processes. The solution has reduced human error in our organization by at least 80%.

I have used UiPath Academy courses. We have also provided our business personnel with the courses so they can see it from the business side to learn UiPath. I like the user community. There are a lot of forums where people post questions and help each other. There are YouTube videos where people share their experiences with certain issues. The community is strong.

The massive improvement from DBA to RPA is the user interface interactions. UiPath has a free community version. I would recommend the solution to others. I've taken training on Automation Anywhere, but I've never been able to touch it because my previous organization decided to keep it only in one department, and our department never received it. I could never use what I studied in Automation Anywhere because it requires business licensing. There was no community version. On the other hand, we can start working on Uipath on our personal computers. We can also use UiPath Academy.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
