What is most valuable?* Its flexibility * Anything you can do on a computer with enough effort, you can get the robot to do it. * It is ease to use and user-friendly. * The Academy training is… more »
How has it helped my organization? We just started the implementation. I foresee as we automated mundane tasks, it will free up time for the existing workforce that we already have to do more tasks where… more »
What needs improvement?Once we've taken the data that the robot has done something with, we want to send it over to a human a lot of times. However, they need it formatted in a fashion that… more »
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? They give it away in the community edition for free, so I use it at home.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? Our Director of Tax heard from word of mouth about RPA and decided with tax being what it is, we have a lot of areas of mundane, monotonous, repetitive tasks, return… more »
What other advice do I have?Try it out for yourself. Just go and download the community edition, install it on a computer, and within a few minutes you can have simple automation up and running using… more »
Which other solutions did I evaluate?I've only dabbled with the other products, but the UiPath software is easier to dive into and start working with. We looked a bit at Automation Anywhere. I tried a trial… more »

The initial setup has a lot of guidance in the configuration and actual setup. It feels like installing Windows.
What is most valuable?* The fast development and deployment is what I like about the solution. * There is a lot of support from the community. * The product is really stable. * It is easy to use. * It integrates naturally… more »
How has it helped my organization? Our clients see a quick return of the investment from time, performance, and scope on whatever their task is. This adds value for them.
What needs improvement?I would like to see more integration with solutions, like SAP, especially because the biggest companies have a lot of SAP implementations going on. If they would have more packages to support native… more »
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?Traditionally, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism are the biggest things competing against UiPath. Those are usually what most of the clients lean towards, if they see a cheaper licensing option. Most… more »
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?Clients usually through PoCs to determine if they need a new solution. They will define a use case that will make sense and add value to their operations. Based on that, they will ask for a PoC. We… more »
What other advice do I have? The most important criteria for clients when selecting a vendor is usually licensing, but also: * Flexibility * Scalability * Ease of use These three criteria help a lot when positioning UiPath. Give… more »

What is most valuable?* Rapid development: If we can develop something in four weeks, then see value back, that is big for us. * The quick delivery is good. * The solution is easy to use.
How has it helped my organization? We are still in the process of maturing to the point where people think about RPA first. We're still running around looking for the processes, teaching and helping people to get there. Our culture shift hasn't happened yet. The solutions has meet our expectations, even a bit more than that.
What needs improvement?Managing the infrastructure UiPath is running on is a lot harder than it seems. In the app development world, there's things called Docker containers that sort of help you containerize what your thing is running on, then it is in code. If we could get that, it would go a long way. Otherwise, I will… more »
What other advice do I have? There is a lot of focus on new features going forward, integrating more with AI, and that's great. Get started using the product yesterday. You're already too late.

What is most valuable?UiPath Orchestrator is a tool which allows to us to orchestrate all the commands, like a manager and their employees. We can do a lot of processes, not just in one department. It has flexibility, where you can do a process then to move to… more »
How has it helped my organization? We seen have operational cost reductions. We have improved our efficiency and capabilities. So, there are a lot of benefits. It has met our expectations.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We had a lot of manual tasks inside the company. People were doing things manually, then they would try to do those tasks faster, which was sort of impossible. With a robot, we automate those tasks 24/7.
What other advice do I have?Check the use cases, like cases of successes that they had with other companies first. It can be useful for them in making a choice. Most important criteria when selecting a vendor: * Product stability * It can't be complicated.
Which other solutions did I evaluate? We also considered Blue Prism. We went with UiPath because they have a lot of experience in the market. People really trust them. There are also a lot of use cases of success.

What is most valuable? There is a big community, which is very helpful and end user friendly.
How has it helped my organization? For example, end users download information at the point of sale and export it to an Excel sheet, where what happens next is usually manual labor. Whereas, we can go to a site and download a file, then that file is loaded to our business… more »
What needs improvement?* We would like to know the prerequisites when installing bots. * A bot that could provide feedback would be nice.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?I came from Automation Anywhere. The UiPath GUI is better for the end user, since I don't have time to develop a bot. Any user can use it. While UiPath can be complicated, it is much easier than Automation Anywhere. We were able to replace… more »
What other advice do I have?UiPath keeps growing, so it has met and exceeded our expectations. Look into the data web scraping. I don't think another tool has that feature and we use it a lot. Data web scraping was probably the bonus of why we went with UiPath.

Takes a very manual, key punch-oriented job and automates it, so the user can do more intelligent work
What is most valuable?* It is reasonably easy to use. * The FTE payback benefit.
How has it helped my organization? It takes a very manual, key punch-oriented job and automates it, so the user can do more intelligent work. It has exceeded my expectations. It took a job which would take a user up to 30 minutes and decreased the time without their interaction to three minutes.
What needs improvement? We would like the RPA app that we developed to fall back to one of our APIs and Visual Studio and have that take off. However, I was talking with one of the guys at the conference, and he says, "It'll do that."
What other advice do I have?It does what we designed it to do. It has worked flawlessly, except when somebody changes the actual website that we are reading. I would start small. As someone in the conference said, "Don't expect in two weeks you're going to have miracles." In the beginning, put the time and investment into it… more »

There are operational benefits in terms of time savings and user satisfaction of not having to do menial, repetitive tasks
What is most valuable?* It scales fairly easily. * The UI and the back-end platform are very easy to use. * There is a roadmap for growth in the organization: scalability-wise and additional features going forward.
How has it helped my organization? We are still at about a year and half of implementation, so the benefits are already being realized. Because of the size of our organization, it's going to take more time for it to make a real tremendous impact. What I already see is there are financial benefits that we have been yielding. There are… more »
What needs improvement?Ease of use could be improved. The newer features are easy to use and positive additions, but there is room for improvement, specifically of the UI console for the developer. There are also other features that could use improvements. I would like to see the OCR, machine learning, and cognitive… more »
What other advice do I have?Make sure you have your infrastructure correctly set up and that you are ready to scale up, because it will grow. Ease of use has met our expectations. It would only exceed them once we see the new features come in and they all work seamlessly together. Every release gets better, which is what I… more »

What is most valuable? It is easy to implement and use to provide training to people. With a lot of other tools, it is more about scripting. Whereas with this solution, it has a more hands on GUI-based feature. It is easy… more »
How has it helped my organization?UiPath is user-friendly, so when we are working with the customer, if they want something immediately they will jump in. We don't have to give the level of estimation, then how much price will be… more »
What needs improvement? With every product that we have, there are still improvements needed in some areas. There are certain areas that we need to see improvements: performance, efficiency, and complex environment. We need… more »
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? If you want to do a demo trial, it is a 30 days free. However, the community edition is completely free. Then, people say, "There is nothing to lose, let me try it."
What other advice do I have?* The company culture: We are an extended family, not just a partner. Their entire team is available to us. * As a product, it is really coming up in the market with a different architecture, most… more »
Which other solutions did I evaluate?Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism are competitors. They have been in the industry a little longer than UiPath, which is just coming up. One good thing about UiPath is that it is really capturing the… more »

What is most valuable? The specific feature I find most valuable is its ability to access a database, automating inquiries, and sending emails. This is very useful. Now, spreadsheets and ledger books can be done within five… more »
How has it helped my organization? For example, if we process where 10 people are working manually, which we can automate using RPMs (Revolutions Per Minute), we can reduce this up to eight people. We can't reduce the human manpower… more »
What needs improvement?I want to improve machine learning.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The pricing differs on the requirements. If there is a huge purchase, then we get a discount. There is not a fixed pricing of the product.
What other advice do I have?It is very easy to learn and easy to adapt. For example, if we have to open a browser, we need code. If we are using Selenium, or some other programming that you have to write code for, it could be 30… more »
Which other solutions did I evaluate?Blue Prism is a competitor that has benefits, but we chose UiPath.

How has it helped my organization? We have been able to do our work in a more timely fashion, more accurately, and it opens up other paths of customer use cases which will enable us to expand our business… more »
What needs improvement? It's easy to use but I think it will be a lot easier as it continues to develop. Right now, we do need some development capabilities, to understand certain computer… more »
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?Scalability is there. There are so many use cases, certainly for our company. There are many opportunities. We're essentially automating what I would consider to be the… more »
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? With most of our clients, generally, it's humans who are doing manual, mundane tasks - what I refer to as the "low-hanging fruit" side of it. They see right away, when we… more »
What other advice do I have?I think it's the best RPA solution that I've looked at and I would suggest that you take a hard look. It's easy to start working with it. You can get it stood up pretty… more »
Which other solutions did I evaluate?Usually, it's Blue Prism and Automation Anywhere. One of the main reasons that clients go with UiPath is the Academy, where they can get free training, where they can send… more »

What is most valuable? The most valuable feature is automating tasks that are highly repetitive, such as Accounts Payable. It is also easy to use.
How has it helped my organization? There are man-hour savings. Some of that equals headcount reduction, but we've also been able to redeploy people to more value-add activities. It has met our expectations. We wanted to automate manual tasks and it has successfully done that, across multiple systems. I would rate the performance… more »
What needs improvement?I would like it to better handle updates from other systems, whether it's SAP or a website. That's the thing that we struggle with. Anytime a system changes, we have to go in and modify the code.
What other advice do I have?Dive in and get going. We have used UiPath RPA Academy training and we like it. It gets us about 80 percent of the knowledge that we need, and then we have a group of in-house folks that will teach people who complete a class how our policies and our procedures are rolled into the tool. It's… more »

What is most valuable? The way we look at it is that features are a commodity. We prefer to look at the value it provides. Having said that, it is very easy to use. We have seen new developers becoming productive in a matter of weeks, not months. The entire… more »
How has it helped my organization? We see the real value coming out of UiPath in the ability to transform our clients' businesses: Produce rapid time to value and a very good return on their investment as well. That's the real value UiPath provides to our customers. It is… more »
What needs improvement? One of the things that many of our clients ask us about is security. Some of them are really struggling with how to do multi-factor authentication. A robust and solid approach for dealing with multi-factor authentication would be one of the… more »
What other advice do I have?Focus on your objectives. Don't consider UiPath or RPA as just a shiny technology. You need to know what is it that you want. What are your business objectives? That is the first thing you need to determine. Second, you need to set very… more »
Which other solutions did I evaluate? In addition to UiPath, the top options are Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism. In addition to that, we have seen some interest in exploring solutions from Pega and Kofax. One of the reasons our clients select UiPath is that it now has a… more »

What is most valuable? It's easy to use and it's easy to host. The most valuable features are the ease of use and the UI. It's much better compared to all the competitor applications out there. I've literally used all the… more »
How has it helped my organization? The time saved is anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes, on average, because a human would have at least that long, and up to 20 minutes, to do these tasks, while a bot takes just 4.3 seconds, which is… more »
What needs improvement? The Citrix automation - the way that it's fragile right now - if that could be made stronger and more stable, that would be icing on the cake for UiPath.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? It costs much less and it does much more than the competitors' solutions.
What other advice do I have? There are three points that I always have my clients identify to determine if this is a good approach for them: * Does your process have a lot of manual steps involved? * Are they repetitive in… more »
Which other solutions did I evaluate? The only solution that is close to UiPath is Automation Anywhere.

What is most valuable? For me, the biggest feature is that my developers love it. And if my developers are happy, then I'm happy. We're totally agnostic and we use multiple providers. But the developers definitely absolutely adore the product. The speed that in… more »
How has it helped my organization?I would rate the performance benefits a very strong eight out of ten. You have to make sure that you pick the right processes that you're looking to automate.
What needs improvement? The new release broke everything, so I'd like to see that not happen next time. All of our automations broke. It happened to one of our centers of excellence. They just upgraded, pressed next, next, next, and probably didn't really go for… more »
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We've been involved in RPA since early 2014. In 2014 we were using one provider and then we moved into another provider as well. But then we started to look at UiPath and the way it was performing in our proofs of concept. We felt that with… more »
What other advice do I have?Look at what it is you're trying to achieve. Do due diligence on the assistance that you're going to interact with, the infrastructure that you're going to be managing, and then actually go out and have a look at a few providers. One of the… more »

Which other solutions did I evaluate?I believe Blue Prism was also under consideration, but I was not part of that decision.

There is no coding at all required to implement a complex business process. If you have some programming background, it will help you. However, if you are a business user, you can still develop simple processes.
The automated recording helps quite a bit. You record a complete business process along with human interactions to the desktop or web application. You can easily manipulate them. Once you are done, you have a complete recording of the interactions, which you can use to tweak your requirements.
We like the ability to capture some of the features on a screen for the application. We also really like the UI, and the design is pretty good.
It is extremely helpful with our invoicing process.
I find the most valuable features are automation and RPA.
Email automation can access emails in multiple ways.
