I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten, with ten being low price. 

My company has no problems with the pricing of the product as we got good discounts from VMware.

I believe the pricing is reasonable.

The solution is expensive so pricing is rated a four out of ten. 

I recommend using the Enterprise or Enterprise Plus licenses because they unlock all of the solution's capabilities from the operational, networking, and log-in sides. A mid-high or high license will allow you to deliver all of the features available.

vCloud Director is an expensive solution. Our organization selects the top tier of the product options, which ensures that we get every feature we want.

I think vCloud Director is worth the price.

We pay monthly for all of the licenses.

The product is inexpensive compared to AWS, Azure, and GCP.

vCloud Director is a very expensive solution. Before January, you had to pay for what you use. A single CPU call costs 200 euros, and we currently need to license 3,500 CPU calls, which is a lot of money.

We are paying around $ 15,000 per month for vCloud Director, and it would be nice if it could be made cheaper.

The solution's price is the market standard and depends on usage. 

The licensing costs are pretty high, but it might depend on the size of the company.

It's a costly product. The licenses may not be costly, but with every new development in their product, we need to purchase deployment services, and the deployment services are quite costly.

In terms of costs, I would say there is no comparison between this solution and alternatives. If you are in the market for VMware services, that's just what it is. You don't have any other product like this on the market.

As mentioned above, the service provider model costs are calculated considering:

- physical environment cost (up front cost or by loan)

- licensing cost 1:1 to vRAM

- setup requires no more than 1 week.

Compared to alternatives like Microsoft SPLA, this solution is on the expensive side. It's an expensive solution but it comes with its benefits for being pricey. 

This solution is cheaper than other alternatives. 

The licensing cost is high for vCloud Director. It is mostly a perpetual license.

Depends on the licences purchased per ESXi, vCenter for vSphere and licences purchased for vCloud Director, vCOPs suites.

In certain cases, the price of Cloud Director is quite high, especially with the load balancing and other features they've introduced. That seems quite costly. Overall, for VSPP programming, I think it's okay. However, features like enterprise load balancing and all these other things are very costly.

I would advise someone looking into this or a similar solution to get people who understand the technology and what you can do with it to get the program right the first time. You can make a lot of mistakes during the deployment. Get someone in there to help you if you don't understand the product 100 percent. 

I rated this solution an eight. I believe that everything has room for improvement and wouldn't give any solution a ten. 

As a service provider, it gives us quite good leverage and flexibility to present our own pricing and create pricing policies, which is really good. 

It is better than other solutions out there when it comes to cost.

I can't remember what our setup costs were. I know we paid in VSPP points. Our contract covers other environments so it's not something I monitor.
