Veeam Backup & Replication ROI
It is hard to give that because everything depends upon the size of the environment. Smaller environments are going to have a much faster return on their investment than larger ones. It depends upon what they're doing.

In terms of Return On Investment , Veeam backup and replication indicates a more productive investment in a long time compared with other solution .
View full review »We were able to recover our investment on Veeam within about 8 months. This was due largely to reduced licensing costs initially but the majority of the savings came from a reduction in the management overheads and the previous baby-sitting we had to do of our backup solution.
View full review »I have seen a Return on Investment, in terms of saving time and money.

The return on investment is the protection of the client's data center. It's hard to tie a dollar amount to that.
View full review »ROI has been about six months.

It is a cheap solution with the ability to backup for our needs.
View full review »I cannot give a dollar amount, but I can say the ROI with Veeam data deduplication has saved on time with backup window shrinkage and the storage required decreased substantially.

We have increased our scalability while being able to free up senior resources from recovery activities. I estimate our overall savings to about $20,000 per year.
View full review »Hard to say but I would say the company wouldn't be around based on the event described above.

In the global scheme of things, it's pretty inexpensive software as far as what we spend per year. If you factor in hardware and all sorts of other things, it's probably a good value for your money.

We have seen a return on our investment within two years. Prior to Veeam, we were doing the work physically, which is costly. We had to buy hardware every time we needed a new service to go to production. Now we have the cluster and can immediately deploy a new Veeam and be up and running immediately.

It changes for every customer.
View full review »The ROI is difficult to calculate but the product has returned our original investment many times, in terms of insuring systems uptime across our business.
View full review »It's hard to give ROI at this moment. IMHO the value of a backup is only truly appreciated when you have an issue.
Excellent. The savings to lost work time during the virus outbreak alone saved the company work loss time for 150+ employees for two days.

We have been using this product for the past three to four years now, and we have well and truly recovered the cost of implementing it.
At the time I was a customer, it took something like three months because of a big storage system outage. Moreover, their pricing is based on the number of CPU sockets in your virtualization environment. I would even say that the longer you use the product, the cheaper it becomes. This is due to the core density of newer CPUs - we aren't buying more CPUs, just CPUs with more cores.
View full review »I don't know, but we do like it.
View full review »Time is no longer wasted looking at continual backup failures.
View full review »ROI is compared to for example running CommVault returned many times, this is due to the flexibility ion license models etc. And also in terms of space utilization. Veeam does full daily backups with whats called synthetic backup streams of some sort, it takes all block changes and stream those into the latest backup and there create a full backup as well as restore pointers.
View full review »It's 100%.

We are satisfied with Veeam Backup Replication. It is a safeguard for our daily work and our environment. It has given us a substantial return on investment.
I am using the Veeam Service Provider solution where you pay per VM that is being backed up. So, the ROI is basically from the day you deploy it.
View full review »This product will provide availability of core services in case of a disaster scenario, which will enable our company to continue operating normally. It also provides another recovery point in our backup & recovery strategy. Estimated ROI on this project is calculated at 40% ±5 in case of such scenario.
View full review »As system integrator we offer various backup/replication products. I have no personal hands-on experience with other products except Backup Exec, and Veeam.
View full review »This is a good question. Veeam is competitively priced. When compared to Tape or other virtual solutions Veeam is by far the most cost effective. I spend 75-80% less time managing backups than i used too. Troubleshooting is easier, and it has less moving parts than traditional backup solutions.
View full review »Invaluable in time saved managing backups. The time I spent managing backups, failed jobs, software errors etc has been almost eliminated by Veeam. I have recovered at least 5 hours a week by switching to Veeam.

It is very difficult to calculate because it is a backup solution. It is not a business service, which makes it very difficult to calculate the ROI.
Given this is Backup & Replication, the ROI is similar to that of an insurance plan - priceless when needed, but no monetary benefit until such time. Still worth every penny for the peace of mind.

We were seeing ROI within a year.
View full review »The software itself was less expensive than Symantec. But it is kind of hard to put an actual number on it because when you recover a document or a server for someone and it makes you look like a hero, it is priceless.
View full review »The ability to instantly recover a virtual machine as compared to several hours with previous methods.
View full review »This product has more than made up for the initial costs of licensing, hardware and support. In more than one occasion we have been faced with what would normally be hours of downtime in the days of tape restores to being backup in minutes.
View full review »I'd say the mere fact that you can test your backups without using numerous hours of own / or consultants time is enough to say there is instant ROI on Veeam B&R. Also the total backup time will probably be way less, like 25-25% faster than the one people are switching away from.

We estimate our ROI within 1,9 - 2,3 years.
View full review »The ROI lies in the fact that we spend a lot less time dealing with failed and problematic backups.
View full review »Overall it is a good investment in that it has saved us the cost of maintaining different backup solutions within our environment.
View full review »Backup software cannot give you ROI. Replication tool has helped so far in migration of the virtual infrastructure across multiple geographical locations, hence proving vital.
View full review »Almost instantly.
View full review »Just recently, I retired Backup Exec, and added Veeam v8. This increased the backup scope by 30% and reduced tape usage by 70%
View full review »Divide the cost of the backup by 2!
View full review »We have saved a lot on not having to buy additional licenses.

View full review »We are a company that provides hosting services and IT services to the government of Amazonas. With the implementation of Veeam, our ROI increased from 30% (TSM) to 70% (Veeam), over the first three years.
View full review »ROI for backup point of view comes only when you are in a condition that only backup can help, I have been in such conditions many times in which Veeam has proved to be a EXCELLENT ROI for my company.
View full review »My ROI is 50%.
View full review »It's not 100%.

View full review »Upgrades, reduce administrative effort to do automation, disaster recovery.
View full review »It's great when compared to Net backup and Tivoli. Also. it improves our customer offering as backup operations are independent of resources provided to servers.
View full review »I didn't measure it but it saves me tons of time and no data loss so it has likely paid for itself many times over.
