It allows us to perform instant recovery for SIM machines. This means that we can quickly install the configuration and check whether the machine is operational or not. This efficient process allows us to assess the status and decide to proceed or make necessary adjustments. Unlike traditional methods that may take up to two hours for restoration, our instant recovery feature enables us to recover in as little as five minutes, providing a prompt evaluation of the machine's functionality.

In terms of backup installation and business continuity, VM has been invaluable. There was a time when we had an issue with one of our systems, and Veeam became unavailable. This particular Azure machine is utilized in about six or seven countries. All I had to do was log into my Veeam account in that location, activate the Continuity and Recovery (CR) feature, and everyone could resume working. It involved changing the IP address or the capabilities of the application server since the assessment is based on the application server's availability in another location. The IP addresses would vary.

So, I informed the application department to make the necessary modifications, and they immediately restarted the system for use.

Some time ago, we lost some of the groups within our AD Organizational Units, but through Veeam we were able to successfully recover all the data thanks to Veeam's AD backup functionality.

I used to work for a company that provided Backup/DR as a service to its clients we had to look at various backup and recovery tools to quickly and easily bring back customers data. Before Veeam introduced the backup to tape and WAN acceleration features we were using 3 different products across a number of our clients to provide the required services. After those feature releases, we just used one tool through a single console (the infamous single-pane-of-glass) which reduced the complexity and management overheads within our solutions but also provided our customers with a far greater level of service and reliability.

We've had catastrophic failures at sites due to our location in Florida. Over the years, hurricanes come through and things happen, and we've had to deploy backups to get clients back up and running.

It has improved the way that our organizations function.

Previously, we had to manage the tapes and backups locally. When we needed to restore data, we needed to ask for people in the branch offices to insert the tapes and manage everything manually. When we deployed this solution, we no longer had to contact people on-site, to make these actions happen.

It's streamlined the backup and recovery for my customers in the sense that it has an easy management console that's easy to set up any type of instant recovery. 

It also has helped them as it plugs into just about any cloud. They can not only have backup and recovery but have a disaster recovery plan as well. It really just takes the heavy burden of backup and recovery disaster recovery off of customers and streamlines it.

We use it for failover and disaster recovery. There have been times when our primary systems have failed, and we've been able to run virtually until our primary systems are available again. From a business continuity experience, it has worked fairly well.

Veeam is a very stable product. The ease of use and UI are some of its highlights. Learning this tool is very easy and you do not need any training classes.

Easy to use product, If you have a virtual environment and also are worried about putting in a DR solution - This is an easy product to get to grips with, Plugs into Vcentre and has the same feel as Vcentre. the replication feature is great - Seamless on enterprise version that I use for my DR solutions.

With moving the Veeam server to a physical server and creating a Proxy server on each of the hosts, we are able to leverage SAN based backup which is very fast. Jobs are completed overnight and never run in to the business hours.

Veeam's Instant Recovery feature allowed my organization to continue operations during file server failure by immediately restoring lost data.

Veeam Cloud Connect has helped us to reduce the cost of cloud storage for an offsite solution using their archive storage feature. 

It has improved our organization. I don't have to spend all day troubleshooting backups, so it has freed up a lot of time.

The most important part is that we know we have a backup of the whole virtual server. We can restore the whole server if we want, or just take some specific files. I like this duality of the product. That's how I put it on virtualized software.

It has decreased downtime issues. By using replication, we decreased our downtime for crashed servers and having other service/system issues.

It is very simple and fast to power-on a replicated server, making it come online again.

To us the ability to restore an entire VM for Development and User Acceptance Testing is invaluable the need to Develop continues to grow and Veeam supplies us the ability to manage this seamlessly. Utilizing the de-duplication and compression built into Veeam we are able to keep backup longer and have the ability to perform more frequent backups.

It has improved my organization by 90%. Now we can restore a single box with all of its folder contents. We could install one email, one folder or one lead and it could have still one email. This has helped us a lot. Before we used to store the entire database and then we would go to the single mailbox we need to use and we could restore it. Now we could do it instantly whereas it used to take three to four days. 

We had an issue with power in the data center and one of the IBM storage devices could not startup. We managed to restore all of the VMs from Veeam and disaster recovery was executed as expected within our SLA.

We tried to set up the application from SQL to SQL. We did this for the department, but the process took us almost a year. After we had signed off on the solution we noticed that it was affecting the performance of the SQL.

Veeam Backup & Replication is far more dynamic as far as being able to generate backup jobs. We used to use a product called NetWorker, and at the time the version of NetWorker we had would not back up to the cloud. I think it does now, but we're not using it anymore. But at the time, NetWorker was fairly new and it was just a tape backing up the disc. So Veeam is far better dealing with virtual environments and the cloud as targets. The capability with Veeam is just there.

As our datacenters continue to grow, we had a challenge of reducing backup windows while being able to scale our total protected VMs. Before Veeam, we had backup infrastructure sprawl. Veeam was able to reduce our overall backup windows while reducing our dedicated backup infrastructure.

By using the “Instant VM Recovery”, we test new patches or features on a VM, which is the same as our production environment.

Veeam does its job well. However, there are more than a dozen commonsense items which should have been built into the software, such as being able to sort the column of server names while in a backup job and being able to see what VMs are already in a job when you add a new server.

Before this product we were using something else that was entirely unreliable for our company. Backups need to be counted on. In Feb of 2014 in Columbus, Ohio there was a major Power Failure downtown that was the result of a gas explosion of the corner of our Data Center. Entire Data Center was offline for a week. (Catastrophic Event could be classified as a Disaster). With a proper configuration of this product we were able to restore the Hyper-V Infrastructure to our 2nd Data Center and restore functionality to about 20 Hospitals and Imaging centers around the state of Ohio. (Tier1 systems were restored with in 30 minutes and remaining filtered in).

We were able to turn the data recovery process over to technicians instead of allowing only engineers to recover customer data. Another big bonus, is that the data recovery process was fairly simple and fast.

Veeam has saved us many hours retrieving deleted files as well as testing backups. Our old backup solution was getting to the point where we could not go more than a couple of days without backups failing. With Veeam we have not had any time where backups did not run. We also have been able to run since January 2014 with no “failed” backups.

This product helps because when something has changed that we didn't know about or didn't want to be modified, and we find out about it the following day, we can go back to exactly where we were and when it worked perfectly.

This product has significantly reduced our backup windows as backup times have been significantly reduced, as well as the speed at which we can recover systems if needed.

It really helps secure our data.

It has not improved anything. It is just a backup solution. Our customers needed something for disaster recovery in case something bad happens. It is something they needed, and it is something they have got.

This product has improved the entire RTO and allows us to restore applications and services to customers within a few minutes.

It has greatly reduced the man power required to monitor the backup process. Coupled with the email notification feature, the BDR services that we offer can be managed by one person and subject matter knowledge can easily be transferred to another technician without extensive training.

Our company now has nightly backups, whereas before we only had weekly backups. It’s also allowed us to retire our cloud backup solution (HP Autonomy LiveVault), saving us about $40,000/year in storage costs. Since we completely control the backup environment, we’re able to have onsite backups, offsite backup copies, an archive, and even replication all through one interface. It’s made our infrastructure much more flexible, and in a disaster recovery situation allows us to resume business within hours instead of days or weeks.

We can now perform replication for migrating data.

a. Other than it has saved us from hours of work not having to rebuild servers and the many times it has helped us recover data that was valuable, I don't know how to translate that into money, but it's no small thing.

b. This one is HUGE: We moved our entire data center, from one physical location to another, mind you we are 24 hour operation with sites across the state relying on the systems being up, and we never lost one hour of downtime. We used Veeam Backup and Recovery to migrate our entire Vmware Farm from old location to the new. It was awesome.

Before using Veeam and HCI, we were performing the functions physically. We used physical machines to run our services. Hardware failure leads to the pillar of our services. Now we have high organization and we can sustain any failure.

There’s not much a backup software can do to the organization but its features enable us to have an inexpensive data recovery solution that ultimately plays a factor when choosing to move applications and services to the cloud.

Ability to attract customers with a simple product to protect their data and lead them into conversations about how to enable business outcomes that are positive as opposed to catastrophic. With the multiple facets of potential data compromise (ie: Virus, Ransomware, employee mistake, etc., etc.) and or destruction, educating our customers on the inexpensive options that can provide quick remediation to inevitable outages that could be extremely detrimental to business continuity.

Reliable backups are so critical and my Veeam backups (disk-to-disk) have never failed to be restorable. I can’t say that about other products I’ve used.

Fortunately, we have not had to use the restore functionality (touch wood), but it does give us the reassurance that we can perform a restore if needed, in a real situation as well as performing regular testing in our virtual lab. The other functionality that has really had an impact is being able to granually restore Exchange mailboxes.

It really just works, we don't have backup issues anymore. We're now implementing SureBackup so we can check the quality of the backups. Great feature.

During a "zero day" virus outbreak that caused several critical systems to fail, the ability to boot and run a "replica" that hadn't been infected yet kept the business running and productive.

Before Veeam our customer used to backup data with obsolete tools and had no central console management, so every site had single task to be checked everyday. Now, he receives the full backup report as an email attachment everyday.

Let me start by mentioning that, before Veeam, my company used to backup data with Microsoft Robocopy. Backup times now are more than ten times faster and the data to be moved is only a fraction.

This behaviour has been improved with the new version, 9.5.

We had a vendor screw up a financial accounting program at tax season, a critical time for one of our customers. We were able to roll the VM back in under five minutes, and users were back on the software in under 10 minutes from restore.

Previously we had been using a CDP based backup solution where an agent was installed on the guest OS. Besides taking longer to configure backups, performing a BMR was much more complicated and required creating a new VM and using a boot disk. Using Veeam has made the entire process much easier and I can quickly restore an entire VM even in a test environment.

Veeam B&R software is transparent and easy to use, which improves usability and manageability for the daily operations a backup/system administrator performs. Setting up a backup application/infrastructure is one thing, but to keep it operational without having to deal with big issues is another. I barely encounter situations where Veeam B&R setup disappoints our customers.

Restores are faster. Moving virtual machines from one location to another is easier and is far less time consuming than Tape backups. Setting up jobs replicas or backup jobs is also quick and easy.

We are currently using Veeam B&R to replicate our VMware environment to a disaster recovery site, in the event of a major outage we can fail-over to our DR site. From a business continuity aspect it has removed the need for arranging warm-start DR arrangements.

Veeam allowed me to eliminate the need for tape backups and replace legacy backup software. The reliability of Veeam is amazing compared to the solution(s) I was using. I am now able to spend 2 minutes a day reviewing backup logs instead of hours troubleshooting errors and calling vendor support. The ability to replicate backups off-site disk to disk also saves a ton of time compared to swapping tapes and manually moving them off-site.

I know it's not exactly a feature, but I accept it works and it's easy to use. With Veeam Backup & Replication, we have no problems in managing restore. Obviously, the most important thing about backup software. I used to say that every backup software can make backups, but only good ones can make a restore.

The solution saves our organization some money as we don't need to store to a physical machine.

The company has its own Veeam backup infrastructure to offer this service. It manages billing, etc.

It provides more efficiency to restore lost files that were deleted by users. It provides a restoring process for a complete server and replications on another site for the DRP servers.

5. We are trying to make NES Network Extronance and Network Express copy to replication server using Veeam.
6. Using distribution file systems, we take backups from users and clients. 
7. We use copies struck to one server by Veeam and make it replication-to-replication. 
8. We use Veeam for replication-to-replication virtual machines.

With Veeam Backup & Replication, data is secure and strongly stored to replication machines. If we consider the IT systems and infrastructure, then Veeam is making us environmentally friendly.

We are not taking more human resources to take manual back-up systems. With Veeam, we are not taking manual copies to offline or online backup. This is not necessary.

Also, we are reducing the maintenance cost for hardware because of not deploying more than required for our infrastructure.

Veeam helps us on data confidentiality using a simple file transfer. The set of file systems in our data is open, but when we use Veeam, we just make an image, a compact file. Nobody can open it and no one can keep it. 

The ransomware and other exploits cannot attack this file. Veeam optimizes our cost for recovering files and data. In this way, Veeam Backup & Replication is a help to our company.

It helps with process restoration. With Veeam, we never had backup or restoration issues. It is always good when performing complete backups. It always restores, when needed.

In the past, we were using another backup product. We used it to restore the machine multiple times, until we reached the required version of the machines. This process takes a very long time to finish.

Veeam B&R saved many files that had accidentally been deleted. By using file level recovery, all of them got restored easily and in a timely manner.

From a business point of view the recovery time objective (RTO) and recovery point objective (RPO) can now be realized and improved.

Veeam drastically lowered the strain on our hosted environment during backup windows all while decreasing the amount of time the backups require for completion. Upgrades to the backup environment take considerably less time to complete.

We have been able to move away from file-based backups, and now have total VMs protected.

First of all, it has provided us with much needed HA for our retail sites. Until Veeam, the servers from stores were backed up, and in case of disaster with the production hypervisor, we would have faced a far too long restore time that would seriously impact the business.

• As long as you are good with your grouping of servers, the dedupe process is wonderful.
• Once installed and configured, it just works. The management dashboard is pretty easy to use and very easy to read.
• On top of the easy to configure and manage, it is also lightning fast during recovery. It took just 20 minutes to recover a 500GB Windows Server.
• Since the product connects directly to your vcenter, most of the traffic stays within your virtual switching environment, making backups run that much faster.

One of our managers lost his mail box completely and using my product's explorer for exchange function I installed only that user's mail box without turning back to all exchange back up folder.

It's a backup solution. The only way it has improved the organization is by giving us a modern and robust backup solution. The previous solution wasn't complex, lacked features, and was abandoned.

Coming from tape backup environment to using Veeam and cloud upload dramatically changed and improved our backup process. The increase in backup speed was truly amazing, backup windows shrunk, we can also perform more frequent backups if more protection is required. There is obviously also the integration with VMware (which we utilize) and administration via PowerShell. All this, together with CloudBerry allowed us to fully automate our backup and offsite upload process. Reporting via PowerShell is extremely useful too i.e. for our daily checks.

This product has really reduced our recovery time objective considerably because we are able to restore entire virtual machines in under 15 minutes whenever that has come up. 

Not just that, though, as we are also able to restore individual objects requested by customers, e.g. deleted messages from an Exchange server. The Veeam product has reduced the time it takes to configure and monitor backups.

For us, it's a simple solution for our complex environment. It has helped us reduce the time to manage backups.

• In various ways, we are using an Active Directory OS-aware backup, and I can recover deleted objects to AD.
• When I need to duplicate a machine for test purposes, it is very easy to restore from a backup.

Also, the ROI for our CFO is tremendous whereas we did not have data deduplication on our previous backup product, unless licensed at a cost higher/GB than buying storage. After we started using Veeam, we transferred all our 30 virtual servers in seven hours to our disaster recovery side. 

Also, during our disaster recovery test w,e did not have any issues replicating servers.

Since Veeam also allows us to replicate machines we use that feature in a way that provide us more flexibility when we need to test some updates or changes without risking our production environment.

We looked for the best solution to get backups of our VM without downtime, and I found this was the best solution. We highly recommend it for virtual servers.

It has mainly been in dev testing, so I would say it's helped us to protect our IP address and critical information.

It simplifies the backup process by allowing applications that are virtualized to be treated as virtual machines. Veeam's virtual labs actually takes into account all the required dependencies of testing application servers with ease. Not all solutions have this feature.
