I have previously used Dell, Commvault, and HPE solutions. I have found Veritas Backup Exec is the best out of the solutions I have used.

I have used multiple software for data restoration.

I've used, in my old company, a VM solution.

We are an IT solution provider company, and we offer backup solutions with Veritas Backup Exec, Veeam, and Commvault.

Before using the solution we used Legato Backup and Symantec Backup which are both run with Linux operating systems. We switched because this solution is easier to use.

I have previously used another solution, Arcserve.

We worked with Veeam Backup, which is good.

We are also using Veeam and Symantec.

Veeam is completely different when it comes to virtualization, such as virtual machines.

We use Veeam for the majority of our backups.

If I had to rate Veeam, I would give it a ten out of ten.

I'm not sure if a different solution was ever used. I've been at this company for 12 years and we have only used it. They used it even before I arrived. I'm not sure if anything came before it.

Before Veritas Backup Exec, we were using a solution provided by a South African company called Vox Group. They used to monitor directly from each office. They had their own interface monitoring for monitoring the devices.

Veritas was already in place.

We installed Veeam for a new client a few months ago.

The installation of Veeam was hectic. It was difficult at first, and the process took longer than we had anticipated.

It required a lot of other applications. It has several dependencies, even at the client.

We were using Data Protection Manager prior to Backup Exec. We switched to Veritas because we saw by comparison that it was a better product for our situation with more capabilities.  

We were also using Symantec Enterprise Vault.

I have worked with many other vendors. They all have some strong and weak points.

We were using Commvault, but we switched because Backup Exec integrates with Microsoft solutions better.

I use multiple solutions for backup and recovery. I currently work with Commvault and Veeam. In the past, I have used also used CloudFare and Acronis.

We have worked with other solutions before Veritas Backup Exec.

We are actually using two to three solutions at the moment. We are using the Arcserve Backup as they have also been a major player in the market for many years. We were using it and it was OK, but they have not advanced in terms of their technology for many years. for this reason we had to switch to Veritas.

I have used numerous backup products. My personal preference would be IBM Tivoli Store Manager (TSM). Cost is always a factor and Veritas Backup Exec is very competitively priced.

I have used other backup solutions prior to Veritas Backup Exec. Veritas Backup Exec has an easier graphical interface to use.

This was our first backup solution.

I have worked on multiple backup solutions as I have worked in the backup-shared domain.

We also work with Veritas NetBackup.

I tested the solution about six years ago. We checked other solutions too, but we decided that this one was the one that would work best. Since then we've been very happy with it. 

We were hoping to get scalability and a stable backup environment.

We did not use another solution prior to this one.

I was using image base/file and folder backup system from HP.
