Measuring the return on investment on backup and recovery is very difficult. There were possible scenarios where potential problems have been resolved in our organization due to the tool, and we were able to restore services.

We have seen a return on investment because Veritas NetBackup guarantees our data backup, ensuring that our infrastructure can always be restored in the event of an attack.

The ROI is not always quite visible, however, if it helps keep your company up and running, and you avoid downtime that can affect your users, it's a return on investment for the user. 

At some point, it did provide ROI, but over the years, Veritas has not continued to put enough effort into research and development. As a company, they're focusing on other products and really not managing the backup software very well.

At times when data is needed and not available, it becomes a significant challenge in organizations. However, with Veritas NetBackup, we haven't faced such issues. Despite being relatively expensive, it is not as complex as some other solutions, providing value for money.

We do witness an ROI in regard to being able to avoid losing data. Fear of data loss no longer exists. When you invest in backups, you are investing in your most valuable assets.
