In my company, I'm the expert responsible for designing solutions, creating architectures, and handling deployments.

I am involved in the entire process, right from the beginning to the end. I receive offers to design solutions and architectures. After that, when we have a clear view, I handle the deployment of the solution.

We deployed on our own. We created the environment, multiple environments to be backed up in our environment, our production environment, and it takes about five hours.

However, managing NetBackup for recovery processes depends on the environment. 

In my environment, with a team that has ten years of experience, it's simple, though it might not be as easy for beginners. But it is not that complicated either, it is doable. 

Veritas’ partners helped us with the deployment.

The implementation was completed in-house.

The solution's deployment can be done from a couple of days to not more than two weeks. You need to get approval, purchase an extra license, and then deploy the solution.

We implemented the solution through an in-house backup storage expert.

The implementation was done by a member of the professional services team.

Our team is very mature, and Veritas has local offices in Turkey with very competent engineers. So, if we have any problem during implementation, we submit it to Veritas support, and they help us by answering our questions. They are always with us if we need anything during the discussion or assessment stage. Their documentation is also very good and open. Our field experience, good documentation, and Veritas local support make the implementation easy.

The solution's deployment depends on how many clients will be backed up, not how big the environment is. For instance, our team will take one to two days for just one NetBackup appliance. However, setting up the requirements for the environment, like network, cables, and cooling, is important. The implementation can be done after this setup.

At least two people to three engineers are involved in the deployment process. We do a periodic check once every three months, which is crucial for all technology and not just Veritas NetBackup. The surveillance team at the customer's side always monitors the solution. Backup solutions should be monitored regularly. We currently provide level one and level two support. For level three support, we submit it to AWS.

We implemented the solution through an integrator.

The agency I work with handles deployment.

We used an integrator's help. They are also from our group, not from outside. They are from our group only, from our company.  They are coming, but they are doing the configuration part. So, there are two people involved in the deployment.

However, the deployment is still going on. We are supporting the integrator.  And it's almost 90% completed. So, the backups are running, and we need to install the agent on some remaining servers and integrate them.

The implementation strategy is good now. We need zero percent tolerance for the backup solutions. That's why we are doing it this way.

We handle maintenance from our side.

The implementation was handled by us. We are a service provider for our clients. We didn't need an outside consultant or integrator to assist us. We have our own in-house team of engineers that can handle everything.

A vendor helped us with the deployment. 

I have some colleagues who are backup professionals, and I sometimes would ask them for assistance. There's a community out there that can help. However, my first step is to reach out to colleagues. 

We did not complete the installation in-house. Instead, it is was done by a company with which we work. The deployment was done by two people and there is one person to maintain it.

I've installed this solution many times by myself. If you don't have experience with backup solutions, I think it may be challenging for a beginner.

Our technical team consists of four people, including myself, that handle the installation process.

Implementation was in-house.

We had help from a partner do the implementation of Veritas NetBackup.

We have a consultant to help. If you are doing an installation that is related to the hypervisor, you need an engineer for support because of the connected drivers and equipment.

We have our own team to implement the Veritas deployment. Deployment and maintenance of the solution requires one person. It depends on how much infrastructure you are running and what policy you have.

We used a partner to implement the solution here in Greece.

This solution does not require maintenance every day. The only thing that is needed is the management of the backup jobs if needed or to add or remove servers. However, if Veritas informed us that there is an upgraded version available then we will have to install it.

The deployment timeline can vary from a couple of hours to a few days, depending on the specific environment and requirements, such as user accounts and configurations. It's essential to ensure we have a comprehensive backup solution in place before making any changes, to safeguard against any potential issues. We begin by assessing the situation and running necessary tests, which adds some complexity compared to a straightforward installation. Typically, this process involves the participation of three to four individuals.

I did the implementation myself.

At our company we normally provide end-to-end solutions in terms of the product, for better product absorption. So we'll start early by going to the customer, preaching the positives about the product and the technology, talking about how it will solve their problems, and how it will protect their data. And then from there, our team provides installation and configuration services, as well as after-sales service comprising support and warranties.

The implementation of the solution was done in-house. The implementation involved having someone from the network team, and someone for the storage and backup.

We implemented through a vendor. The vendor was very proactive. The response was great. They were knowledgable and experienced; the team got the job done.

We implemented this solution in-house, and I did it myself.

We help out clients install the product.

I personally can handle the implementation myself and don't need a consultant or integrator. 

We have two people to deploy this solution.

I think we used a reseller to implement Veritas NetBackup.

We had third-party assistance with the deployment and we are satisfied with the experience.

We made use of a vendor. The solution does not require any maintenance. It is very useful and easy to maintain everything. If one is unfamiliar with the process, then he would be advised to make use of a vendor's assistance. 

We provide full deployment services, managed services, support, and maintenance.

We did the implementation of the solution and we used one engineer.

For the time being, we are handling or managing the backup solution on our own, but we may need assistance from support to resolve issues with the backup.

It takes about a week to deploy the solution. This is a backend solution, a master server. Sometimes, it can be difficult to set up the window changes, configure the Oracle database, etc. 

For this solution, we handle the system integration for our clients. It takes approximately ten to fifteen days to deploy the backup solution.

Initial implementation was via a vendor team. Upgrades were in-house, as had relevant experience.

Vendor did seem to know what they were doing on implementation but usage of the product seemed limited.

I used integrators. They were very good. I have two people for its maintenance.

We had Veritas NetBackup do one of the installations in Algeria. We have good communications with the sales and technical teams.

Through vendor team; try to just know how to fix the hardware and plug the networker cable. Rest of the things we had to do remotely.
