VMware Workspace ONE Previous Solutions

I used Citrix. Citrix isn't doing anything on this aspect anymore. My experience from last year is mostly on VMware Workspace ONE.

Citrix is no more positioning properly to customers the value addition and the product value in the future part.

We've also started with Intune in the last two to three years.

I'm also working with SOTI and Samsung Knox.

If it's the government center, we usually recommend that they use SOTI. If it's a commercial center, what we recommend depends on their budget. Depending on the budget and the type of device that the customer uses, we would recommend either Samsung Knox or Workspace ONE.

We're still using VMware Workspace ONE and now starting to use Microsoft Intune.

We are just now starting to use Microsoft Intune, and it's much better than Workspace ONE. It's easy to use for updates. And for control, it's also simpler since we have Office 365 and we have an all-in-one approach with Intune and Azure Active Directory. InTune is just better in a Microsoft environment.

Previously, I worked with Microsoft Intune.

Microsoft's licensing is more flexible and adaptive, in my opinion. In Microsoft, you pay for whatever you use. In terms of services, it is more evenly distributed. You only need to pay for one license to get access to a suite of products. From your office to your endpoint, you are essentially managing your endpoint. Everything is combined into a single console. somewhat more flexible on the Microsoft side, which is lacking on the VMware side.

In terms of features, I believe VMware has struck the right chord. However, there are some features in Microsoft that are lacking. I'm confident that Microsoft will try to catch up over time, and it will be there, within the next year or two.

We use Jamf, for our MacBook Space and our Apple Mac Space.

I prefer working with Jamf. When we did a side-by-side pilot, and I found it to be easier.

When I focus on one product, I gain a better understanding. It is the Apple brand, in my opinion. I now have a better grasp of the policies and groups.

For mobility management, we deal with VMware AirWatch and Microsoft Intune. Both products are more or less the same. Intune is just a basic solution, and feature-wise, AirWatch is better. Security-wise, AirWatch is better, but Intune is catching up. The benefit of Intune over AirWatch is the bundling and the pricing.

There were some issues that we encounter with respect to.... For instance, we would have partners that we work with that have their own apps and they want to put those apps on our devices and use our devices, or they want to have their own devices and use our apps.

The solution that AirWatch had where you can manage just content on a device, or you can manage a device itself as far as an enterprise device, was a lot more flexible, so we were able to put our apps in, say, the Apple App Store and allow our partners to download those apps onto their devices in a containerized solution that we can immediately wipe.

Our licensing is coming up, so we want to make sure that we either renew our current license or we go in another direction.

The most important criteria when selecting a vendor include reliability, the ease of obtaining technical support, and responsiveness. And of course, price.
