What is most valuable?

Obviously, automation has been the most valuable feature - it's what initially attracted us and likely our main reason for purchase. However, its reporting and planning features are also very useful and contribute greatly to ROI.

How has it helped my organization?

Not having to regularly monitor our VM environments' resources has been a definite improvement over our previous time-intensive and often reactive processes.

What needs improvement?

Built-in, context-sensitive 'Help' would be useful at times, instead of having to search through the User Guide or Community for assistance - or just for those times when you're curious about the function of a particular option/feature.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable asset is most probably the ability to target the needed hosts, and running commands via modules or a shell on all of them at the same time. This means that mass parallel administration of large server farms is possible.

How has it helped my organization?

I am now able to rollout critical updates within seconds on all affected servers, and it doesn't matter if there are five or 500 of them.

What needs improvement?

So far, everything worked as expected. This means that so far, I heavn't seen anything which needs improvements. The software works as expected and I stumbled across no issues while using it.

How has it helped my organization?

We were able to collapse over 95% of our orchestration directly into Chef and CloudBolt as opposed to having well over 300+ steps of orchestration in vCO and multiple scripts to call out to other self developed API's to do that same thing.... more»

What needs improvement?

Load Balancing (Multiple F5), XaaS Services, Containers, and Parameter Overriding are the only areas left that I have seen that the foundation has been laid for but could use more refinement. Update: Load Balancing Has Been Rounded Out,... more»

Valuable Features Good OASIS TOSCA blueprint support Extensibility Multi-platform nature • Improvements to My Organization It has enabled us to create the DICE Deployment Service. It also simplified deployment of any other services (monitoring, continuous integration, etc.). • Room for Improvement It would be great if it would start supporting Ubuntu 16.04 or newer. • Use of Solution I have used it since spring 2015. • Deployment Issues There were some issues with deploying the solution on OpenStack Mitaka. However, we were able to resolve them. • Stability Issues We have not encountered any stability issues. What is most valuable?

Our first impressions were: * The simplicity * The speed at which it works * It worked right the first time, out-of-the-box. These are what really caught my eye. Working with other tools in this space, I have never had anything work on the... more»

How has it helped my organization?

I see this fitting into a lot of our customer profiles, as they are starting to make the transition from a traditional, monolithic, waterfall model into a DevOps CI/CD model. This gets them going - crawl, walk, run - straight from crawl to... more»

What needs improvement?

Ironically, most of the features that we might have wanted to see were already introduced in the product announcement today, from what we saw in the beta, which was kind of cool. You can't come to market unless you have Azure support, and... more»
