VMware Workspace ONE Implementation Team
For the deployment process, we conduct proper use case seminars to understand the customer's holistic approach. We consider department, compliance, security, end-user needs, workflow, etc. Laptops are shipped directly or to employees' homes, depending on the use case.
We then map the use case to features, deploy, demonstrate configuration, and install the back end. So, we follow a layered approach based on the use cases.
We have cloud deployments and direct cloud leverage for some customers. We're even working on a customer's on-prem to cloud migration.

We had the help of VMware professional services.
While they were helpful, we were not prepared for the amount of change it would be inflicting on our user base, and as a result, it was not as successful as we would've liked.

The deployment process is pretty simple. You should have the devices, back-end connections, ports, and Identity Manager. The devices should be in one single portal managed by Apple Business Manager. You can do the enrollment. If the Apple Business Manager is unavailable, you can do the user-initiated enrollment, which can be done by the user's end.
