It has saved us 30 minute to an hour every day... We are spending one-third or even one-fifth of the time we were spending on Cisco devices.

Overall, per month, Firebox will save me four to five hours, depending on if there's something I have to investigate. On the FortiGate, doing anything with the logs took me three times longer because of the way the logging was designed in FortiGate, if you don't want to pay them for their logging service. So any time I have to look at traffic and determine what's causing an issue, or what's being blocked - and should we allow it - it is a lot faster. It saves me a lot of time compared to what I use to have to do.

Once it was set up and running, it began to save us time. It works, and we spend very little time managing it. We have very few issues with it. We might spend an hour a month managing it, if that.

The learning curve is very small in comparison to the Cisco firewall. Within two hours, I was managing WatchGuard, whereas with Cisco it might have taken a month to accomplish that same level of proficiency. As far as the control of traffic is concerned, I spend one or two hours a week on WatchGuard, as compared to about eight hours with the Cisco firewall.

It has also saved me time by not having to rebuild because of damage to the network due to nefarious situations. Since I installed WatchGuard, it has probably saved me 20 hours a year thanks to increased uptime as well as not having any issues with viruses on computers. It's protecting my network and I don't have to deal with downtime.

It saves a lot of time. On a weekly basis, without having to do a per machine basis, it probably saves me about three and a half to four hours a week.

I would estimate it saves me at least 20 hours a month because I don't have to worry about things. It's set and it just runs.
