The pricing for this solution has gone up quite recently, which has led some of our customers to buy an alternative product. There are different versions of WhatsUp Gold, including the premium and standalone versions. The choice of version depends on the number of points, or devices, that you want to monitor, and this makes the product expensive. The licensing fees are normally billed on a yearly basis. We only use the product for monitoring our network devices. We don't look to it to provide security because adding that functionality adds that price to our costs. Overall, the pricing is a little flexible but it can be expensive. It is half good and half not so good. They have different licensing and configuration plans. View full review »
There are some subscription charges that are quite heavy. I need to pay for support every year and these charges can be quite expensive. Aside from the initial cost for the tool, you need to pay additionally for support. View full review »
