Zoom Other Solutions Considered

We extensively depend on GoToWebinar and Webex. Zoom is a little costlier than GoToWebinar and Webex. Zoom and Webex have very good security layers. RingCentral has a very good suite including in-house messaging and IP phone call features that enable users to get a private number for their organization.

Zoom is very efficient for everyone since it's very easy to use. Even if they don't have the app, I can send them a link to them, and it opens up. I know, for the different people that I work with, that such things may be a little bit old, and I say this because I am not tech-savvy. It's something I can rely on, and I know it is easier to use. I don't use Skype because I've never really trusted it over the years. The only other virtual meetings I used to do were on Microsoft Teams, but that's really just for, like, my budget. Zoom can be used by those who are not tech-savvy.

We used to use Webex and switched to Zoom about two years ago. I am not sure why we switched but I can say that Zoom is enormously easier to use than Webex.

Microsoft Teams is a more professional environment. It is useful for normal meetings and quick communications on a day-to-day basis in a professional environment. It is good. It is a little bit more complex and has a little bit more options than Zoom. It needs more qualified people who are used to working in a complex environment.

I think Zoom is better than Teams, but they're very different. Zoom is lighter. I tried a remote session with Teams, but it wasn't up to snuff. I cannot share things properly, so I think Zoom is better.

When evaluating other solutions to Zoom, they all have similar functionality. For example, the dashboard icons are at the bottom of the screen. There is standardized functionality in most of the solutions.

I have tried several solutions including Google Duo, Google Hangouts, GoToMeeting, and TeamViewer. I find that Zoom is generally more stable and easier to use than other solutions, and it also has more features.

I rate Zoom as a seven out of ten. This is because it is much easier to use than Microsoft Teams, but both of these solutions face similar issues when too many people log in at the same time. In fact, Zoom rates slightly lower than Microsoft Teams in terms of video and audio quality when too many people, 20 or 25, log in at once.

Zoom only allows for scheduling at the moment, so it would be nice if it offered the option of creating channels, such as with Slack. The latter solution allows everyone to be on the same call with just a click.

I would much rather be using Teams and be able to dial up anybody. With Teams, you can collaborate and share files with anybody. Teams are more dynamic. We have also used Skype.

The solution is much better and more reliable than Microsoft Teams or Webex.

I am not the one in charge of the decisions. People, such as recruiters and hiring managers, are the ones who make the decision to conduct a one-on-one meeting. Nowadays, these things are done remotely and the people, at turns, may specify Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Webex. This can vary. I deal with all of these solutions.

Compared to Skype and Teams, Zoom is missing one feature, and that's the ability to call people. In Teams, I can call anyone I want. It's like a telephone. I can do the same on Skype, but I have to send a link in Zoom. They click on the link and contact me. If I'm driving, I can't just click on one of my team in Zoom.
