The flexible manageability of McAfee Endpoint Security is one of our favorite aspects of this solution. You can deploy various components as desired with McAfee Endpoint Security, whereas many other solutions only offer an all-or-nothing policy. McAfee offers a prevention layer that detects signature values and prevents threats to the network. With McAfee Endpoint Security you have complete coverage through McAfee solutions, advanced threat protection (ATP), and light control over browsers, as well as a firewall.

We would like to see better integration with 3rd party products, though. We also feel that resolution time should be faster and that McAfee Endpoint Security could do more to keep administration alerted to detected end-point threats.

One of the best things we like about McAfee MVISION is how user-friendly and easy it is to use for the average person. It is stable and scalable and the technical support is excellent. The cloud-based security and data protection McAfee MVISION offers is extremely valuable, especially if you have many employees who are working remotely.

You can only use McAfee MVISION with Windows 10, WIndows 2016, or above, which makes this solution kind of limiting. We would like to see a policy editing solution added to McAfee MVISION, which would make it a bit more flexible. Additionally, we have some concerns that the intrusion detection and intervention are not keeping pace with other available solutions.

Conclusion

Both of these solutions are McAfee, which is a widely known and trusted value-added brand. We felt McAfee Endpoint Security offered the most complete secure coverage within the McAfee ecosystem. The flexibility and centralized administration controls are better able to keep all of our computer systems safe from viruses and other intrusions. We also feel there is a strong commitment to keeping McAfee Endpoint Security up-to-date, reliable and secure.

It depends on what you want to achieve. With McAfee ENS you have complete coverage through McAfee solutions, that is, it has an AV engine (threat Protection), you have Advance Threat Protection (ATP), light control over browsers, and a firewall.

With MVISION Endpoint you add being able to manage Microsoft Defender from the MVISION ePO or EPO on-premise console. But the AV engine is Defender, not McAfee. So you depend on the potential and configuration you make of Defender.
