Open your mind. Understand that what you thought you knew may not be good enough. It is not a knock on you. You are now just getting professionals who do it better than what you possibly could do internally. Keep an open mind, but understand that they are the experts and industry leaders for reasons. What a lot of clients do not take advantage of is the monthly calls where you can see what is coming down the pipe or have the best practice of using the product, and then keep the staff up to speed. You can work with their client success manager to look at your particular setup and what you can do to finetune the product. You can work with them for any anomalies or something that does not make sense. Everybody has room to improve, but this one is different. I have to give it a ten out of ten.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is probably one of the best software out there if you're looking at it. But if you're on a budget and you want to get something within the same price level, I would look at Bitdefender. Then if I added a worst-case scenario, I would go to Sophos or SentinelOne. In my industry, the cost is a huge variable. Though it's a good product, it's not easy and intuitive. I have to remember that my technical resources to offload my work are in the Philippines. So I need to have something that's very simplistic. I have helped desks in the Philippines, Malaysia, Mexico, and Singapore. When I choose an application, I have to consider the intuitiveness of that application and also the multiple language barriers. So, that is where prospects fail, which is during the adoption process. I rate the overall solution a seven or eight out of ten.

We are looking to move to SentinelOne because of the lack of threat visibility. My advice to others is to take the full package of the solution to determine what are the most useful features and then adjust the package later. I rate CrowdStrike Falcon Complete an eight out of ten.

I always recommend my customers do a Proof of Concept (PoC) because once they go through the product details, features, and performance, we can convert them into CrowdStrike customers. So I always recommend doing the PoC. We always recommend doing the PoC, which is like a demo. Overall, the solution is an eight out of ten because it's an automated solution, which is a significant improvement over traditional latency antivirus. With CrowdStrike, the customer can put in data resources and other things which are automated. In traditional solutions, you would have to work on notifications, do lots of research, and collect logs, but in CrowdStrike, you can easily go through the process and get all the details from when the threat hits your system. It's much more convenient and efficient.

I rate the solution eight out of ten. My advice is to be clear in the negotiation phase about your expectations, the strengths and weaknesses of the solution, and how much of the implementation CrowdStrike will be doing for you. It's good to keep in mind what the required integrations are based on existing infrastructure to understand what is and isn't feasible in the integration.

We are customers and end-users. I'm not sure which version of the solution we're using. Typically, we set ourselves to N minus one. We're typically one version behind the most current. I'd warn potential new users that they have to look at the total cost of ownership. One item that's overlooked is when you get an antivirus or a security product, you will need experts to manage and maintain it. CrowdStrike basically provides you with the software solution and the technical support behind it. If you basically add up all those things, it'll probably be on a total cost basis; it'll be reasonable. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

I have experience with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete, and I've worked with it recently. I work as a solution architect, so I work with different products, and I can't tell you exactly which version of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete I used. I manage different customers, so the solution is deployed on various clouds, but mostly on a hybrid cloud, with providers being AWS and GCP. My advice to anyone looking into implementing CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is to go for it. You should move from the traditional antivirus to the next-gen antivirus. Next-gen antivirus such as CrowdStrike Falcon Complete has malware detection, exploit detection, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) features that you won't find in the traditional antivirus. Signature-based antivirus also fails to detect zero-day attacks as well as crypto locker, ransomware, etc. CrowdStrike Falcon Complete has IOA behavioral protection, and it has an analysis functionality and great reporting capabilities, so you should go for it. My rating for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is eight out of ten. Sometimes on remote users as it is release-signed, there's some issue with the agent and some false positives as well. In terms of detection, an antivirus or EDR solution, or any kind of threat protection product, you have to check a few things. One is how good it is when malware is in the pre-execution stage and the post-execution stage. I have done some analysis on CrowdStrike Falcon Complete on seventy-five different parameters and controls, and I concluded that the product is really good. It's not a ten out of ten because I cannot provide a perfect score for any product. Eight out of ten is a good score in my point of view because you'd still feel that other things are missing in the product.

I rate CrowdStrike Falcon Complete nine out of 10. Before you deploy the product, you need to do research, understand the capabilities, and assess your requirements. You should know what you need before you purchase something. It's not like buying jeans, where you can get another pair if you're not satisfied. You should be certain that it fits your requirement. Budgets are always a challenge in the security field because every CEO or company owner thinks IT security is a burden. It doesn't generate profit, and the company needs to spend money on products and services. You might not go for the best product if you have budgetary constraints.

I would advise anyone interested in such a solution to try it out. It is very easy to try it out. It is an absolute requirement to get an EDR solution in place. You should go with the ones that really have the most advanced capabilities for threat hunting. It is best to go with the experts. They've had some competition from Microsoft, which is not a bad solution, but Microsoft is not a security expert. CrowdStrike knows very well how to identify threats and link them to specific behavior. That's what you really want to have in there, and that's their strength. One of the reasons why they're still leading is that they are the only ones who can say, "We manage your network, and we would give you money back if we could not detect the issues upfront." That's one of their strong points. If they don't do any specific scanning, they will adapt themselves to that. If it is a new system, they would need to learn that. If there is something new in there, it could be harder for them to detect it because they don't yet know the behavior, and they have to learn about it. That's the only negative element I see in it. They're doing quite a bit of work in improving it. They are doing a good job in evolving the product. I don't see any specific needs at this given moment on that. You could ask a lot, but in the end, you still need to make sure that the core is functioning well. They should stick with what they do best. Evolve that but not start doing everything. That's because it will not work. I'd rather have them stick to their niche. I would rate it a nine out of 10.

We are customers and end-users. We don't have the agent or on-premise servers. This solution is SaaS and we don't need those in order to use it. I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten considering the experience we've had over the last three years. The only downside is, in certain cases, that we still see the same gaps we have seen in SolarWinds. CrowdStrike is aware of those and is aware of what they need to do. As the first step, for example, what I've seen in the last six months is the integration with Mimecast which is quite a positive development. If you look at the Gartner or other rating agencies, where you can compare the features of Crowdstrike versus others leaders such as Trend Micro or Carbon Black, CrowdStrike is shown to be easy to implement, easy to manage, and very simple to use. You don't need a core skillset to manage a Crowdstrike in your environment. It's very friendly. At the same time, it gives very accurate results. You'll get fewer false positives.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is great, and I would rate it at eight on a scale from one to ten. If you go with this solution, I think that you should also obtain another service called Hybrid Analysis, the premium edition. I think with this, you'll get malware samples you can correlate, and it will be a good tool for the SOC team.

I would recommend this solution. I would advise others to get the best pricing and doing it around the quarters. You should really understand the pricing structure and the fact that you still need somebody to be able to take their call if there is something they can't do. Do health checks, and make sure that it is implemented correctly and you have got all your endpoints covered. It is a partnership between the vendor and the customer, and CrowdStrike is really good at that. I would rate CrowdStrike Falcon Complete a ten out of ten.

We definitely need to move to the next-generation solutions because these days attacks are pretty intense, and the traditional antivirus solutions are not going to stop them. CrowdStrike gives a proper security block. It is a 100% protector. There was a customer who was impacted by ransomware. We put SentinelOne over there, and we were able to catch the file that their antivirus couldn't. These solutions are 100% reliable and definitely good for any company that wants their enterprise to be protected on the endpoints. I would rate CrowdStrike Falcon Complete an eight out of ten.

You need to know that CrowdStrike is different in the way it works as opposed to the traditional software. It is fairly self-explaining, but you just need to know that this endpoint is based on the behavior. This means that if you introduce a USB stick with malicious software on it and the software or the file isn't opened yet or is dormant, CrowdStrike won't detect it. The minute you are trying to use that file, and the file is trying to execute things, CrowdStrike detects it instantly and takes action to mitigate a problem. I would rate CrowdStrike Falcon Complete a nine out of ten. It is a great product. For our company, it is the right product. It is company deployed, and we will stick with CrowdStrike.

Every solution has pros and cons. I don't see anything that is more advanced than other solutions, and it's just an ordinary spy product. I have to wait for some time to see how well it works in the real world, but it finds some malware and it finds some things that pass through as normal. At this point in time, I can't yet say for the general case whether I would recommend this product. We are still having a problem with the slowness and the impact on the performance of the system. For workstations or servers that do not have a high load on them, I would certainly recommend buying it. In our case, we had to remove it from our backup servers. So, if you're already using a backup, or hosting servers for VMware or Hyper-V, or using a SQL database, then you should consider testing it first. I'm still not sure what will happen in our case. At this point, I cannot rate it an eight or higher because we still don't have an answer on improving the performance. If ultimately they resolve our problem then I would rate this solution an eight or a nine out of ten. I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.

My advice to anybody considering this is: Do it. If somebody really wants to implement and they've already seen that they've got a need, I believe everybody's got a need, and that they've got budget and total for it, my advice would be to do it. Get it implemented. Any of the traditional antivirus solutions or endpoint protection solutions see about 50% of what goes on, on the internet. People who don't have CrowdStrike or a decent competitor, they are blind to 50% of the problem. You cannot manage what you cannot see. My advice is to do it. I'd rate it an eight out of ten. Not a ten because the price point is not good. It really is an expensive product in the South African market. And they need people in our country. Their partner program isn't yet where it should be. They need a lot of work and there's a lot of improvement needed. But in terms of the technical and the security behind the product, it's a kick-ass product.
