HPE Proliant DL servers are reliable x86 servers. The latest line being offered by HPE is the gen 11 servers. These servers have some impressive compute power in space efficient form factor for the datacenter starting at 1 rack units (DL360). They can be configured with up to 4 TB of DDR5 memory and up to 64 cores per processor. My experience with them is very positive so far. I have mostly implemented virtualization solutions and software defined datacenters on top of them such as VMware cloud foundation. With regulated power and proper cooling in your datacenter, there is very little chance of abrupt failure of components. The iLO feature for out of bands management is very intuitive and rich. it let's you manage your servers remotely from anywhere.

All in all I'd say solid, reliable
rack servers for virtualization, and database workloads.

My company's customers use Nutanix or VMware in their data centers for server consolidation and resource optimization. The solution has been deployed for running virtualization workloads or hosting business-critical applications in our company's customers' organizations, as the product is built for certain purposes. If VMware is deployed on HPE ProLiant Gen11 Servers, users can use hypervisors in Nutanix or hypervisors in VMware. The product's most beneficial features for improving IT infrastructure efficiency stem from the fact that the tool lasts for a long period for a customer. The life cycle of the servers is pretty good, and it is a proven fact since my company has seen customers using it for seven years, even in the production phase. HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) improves IT infrastructure efficiency since it is an area where you see the consumption of the servers. You can monitor even 1,000 servers on a single pane of glass. In terms of operational costs, you don't have to go to physical servers to do anything, as the tool does everything. With the tool, you can do 98 percent of the tasks remotely. People working in multiple branches across the world don't have to go and deploy the servers physically. From one place, users can control the servers from anywhere in the world with the help of HPE ProLiant DL. The tool reduces the operational costs and increases efficiency. The product doesn't affect its customers' environment in any way. The product offers scalability and availability. That tool is also easy to deploy. HPE has built the servers to last for decades, owing to which stability is one of the areas that HPE ProLiant DL has focused on when it comes to the solution. The customers in India are not concerned about energy savings or reduced cooling costs after the implementation of the solution. Whether the workload demands are met or not depends on what the customers want from the product in the beginning and how much they want to scale up. Whether the workload demands are met depends on what the customers want from the product in the beginning and how much they want to scale up. My company offers solutions depending on whether the customers want to provision the product for the upcoming three or five years. Customers have to buy more servers if they want to scale up beyond a certain limit. The product helps in the area of business growth. I recommend the product to those who plan to use it. Before purchasing the product, people should consider their growth plan for the next three or five years. Until and unless there is a business plan in place, it is very difficult to figure out the requirements of the solution. I rate the overall tool a ten out of ten.

In project tenders, system requirements are specified, including the number of cores, storage, and personnel needed. The information is shared with the HPE team to prepare a BQ specifying the server model to be used. The tool is a good physical server. The choice of server category or type is not specific and varies case by case. Customers may initially purchase higher servers than their immediate requirements, anticipating future use cases. It's a complex decision and depends on individual circumstances. The product's roadmap seems to be good. Its deployments are mostly on-prem due to government regulations. The product is purchased specifically for security solutions, not for the entire data center stack. It is recommended for medium to enterprise-level customers. I rate the overall solution an eight out of ten.

I would recommend this solution, but it depends on whether you are using a blade server or a rack mount server. If it's a blade server, it offers easier connectivity and makes it convenient to replace components. Overall, I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

HP has come up with the GreenLake model. Wherein they set up private clouds using CapEx and OpEx models for customers. They also provide integration with other networking and security components. I advise others to follow the basic instructions for deployment. Also, they should learn about the solution's framework and features while making a purchase decision. I rate the solution as a seven.

HPE is the vendor that supplies my company with HPE ProLiant DL Servers and other HPE hardware. My company provides the solution to end users. Thousands of applications run on HPE ProLiant DL Servers, so it has millions of users. I recommend HPE ProLiant DL Servers if you get more information about the product first. You must go to the HPE technical staff and ask how you can scale HPE ProLiant DL Servers for your architecture and also find out if HPE supports your architecture before making your decision. My rating for HPE ProLiant DL Servers is eight out of ten. Its documentation could be better.

I'm a reseller. We are HPE partners. I'd advise users to try HP. It's a good solution. However, it depends on the customer. Some prefer working with Dell. If a company already has Dell infrastructure, we advise them to continue with Dell to have a homogenous environment. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. When you compare hyper-converged with ProLiant, hyper-converged is more available due to the clusters; you can cluster it. However, for ProLiant, you have to find a solution with VMware or something like that, for example, third-party solutions. That said, on the hardware side, ProLiant has no cluster option.

I rate HPE ProLiant DL servers nine out of 10. I recommend HPE servers. It's a good product. If you plan to implement DL servers, you should check the family of the network and storage cards, and you should create a list of components so there isn't a delay in delivery.

I rate HP ProLiant DL Servers 10 out of 10 because I never had a breakdown in six years, and the price is decent. ProLiant gives you something that's stable, reliable, and powerful for an excellent price. The only thing that we might need is an extra interface to connect the server to the network with the fiber instead of a copper connector. It's something that we never did. And I would advise someone to implement this from the beginning because it might be a bit hard to configure. It will be fantastic if you do it before it goes into production.

My advice for anybody who is implementing this product is to purchase spare parts. The reason for this is that there is currently an electronic parts shortage. Any replacement components, such as a new hard disk, is very difficult to order and will have a long lead time. For this reason, I suggest ordering spare parts to have them in stock. In summary, this is a good product, I'm content with it, and I recommend it for others. I would rate this solution a ten out of ten.

The solution is mostly deployed on private cloud. I can safely state that we have more than 100 users making use of the solution, since we have installed more than 10 or 20 servers to different locations. The basic package can include iLO features. I rate HPE ProLiant DL Servers as a nine out of ten.

The kind of servers or HPE products we are using with those of ProLiant DL are DL390, 380, gen 10 and HPDL. We are utilizing gen 10 as our latest version of DL servers. We utilize a total of six HPE Servers, strictly as a monitoring tool. The NOC membership comprises only 10 people. As I mentioned, HPE ProLiant DL Servers came as part of a project. We will continue to use it for as long as we continue to renew the contract for the solution that is provided by the contractor.

HPE ProLiant DL Servers are easy to use and suitable for mid-range users. HP has other products for enterprise users. I don't compare them with this family. We had the physical servers for all services, but now we are migrating to virtual servers using VMware. I would rate HPE ProLiant DL Servers an eight out of ten.

I can recommend HPE Proliant DL Servers to other users. On a scale from one to ten where one is the worst and ten is the best, I would rate this product as an eight-out-of-ten. To make it ten-of-ten, would be two things. First, when they make a sale they should provide support for the product to the buyer. I think they also need to make the hardware as relevant as possible as it is not completely up-to-date. For example, the drive bays generally seem to need to be upgraded.

I would rate them eight, primarily because of the service that they provide and stability that the hardware gives. For any other person who wants to buy any hardware, the first thing that he should look for is who is going to support him locally. He should then evaluate cases of the availability of that particular vendor's hardware. Buying any such systems is not a big task. He should see if he can maintain these servers in the long run. By long run, think ten years. He should be comfortable with the people that are going to help maintain and comfortable with the equipment that he's going to buy.

The only thing I don't like about them is that if/when you have to restart it, it takes a long time to come back on. As the sea of sensors have increased in recent generations, the time has become longer. Define your storage needs in advance and then plan the disks accordingly. Suggest that if flash storage is financially feasible, then invest in that as the performance benefits are worth it.

ProLiant Servers provide a complete infrastructure that support both your business objectives and your business growth.
