The solution could provide more capacity for free.

I think the product's interface is an area of concern since it has been changed for a long time and can be considered for improvement. With the UI, Dropbox could also push up on some updates, like how Google does with Google Docs, as it would be quite interesting to see something like that.

Microsoft OneDrive offers one terabyte of free storage with its Microsoft 365 Family plan. I primarily use it to store my most recent, critical files, such as project documentation and similar items, but the bulk is stored on OneDrive due to its free storage plan. Dropbox's limited storage capacity has compelled me to rely heavily on OneDrive. Dropbox can effectively compete with Microsoft regarding storage capacity. There could be flexibility in terms of pricing.

There is a potential improvement regarding storage capacity and offering more than its current four gigabytes.

One aspect that I believe could be enhanced is the family sharing feature. Currently, it permits up to five users, but for larger families, it would be beneficial to have a more flexible offering. It would be valuable if it offered an archival service that allows users to transfer active mailbox data into long-term storage. Such a feature would be beneficial for archiving and preserving data over extended periods.

I'd like to see security improved a bit. I would like to get it to the point where we could offer permission on one file to make one person see that one file only. It might help improve the security of the entire Dropbox.

The pricing could be better and so could the amount of storage space. I feel like for the price, they don't offer very much storage space, especially when compared to competitors like Google. I would like to see the solution more flexible and open, and certainly more affordable.

A room for improvement in Dropbox is document editing. It would be nice to have the functionality of editing the document with other people at the same time. This is something that can be done on Office 365, and it's a feature I'd like to see in the next release of Dropbox.

While it can scale, there's too much difference between plans. We'd prefer it if it had a few other plan options that weren't so big in terms of differences. We'd like more flexible subscription plans. I cannot edit a document at the same time as another user.

The Dropbox challenge is the security which I think should be enhanced because sometime security authentication doesn't feel sufficient. They should consider two-factor authentication as an additional feature.

For us, storage is an issue. The free version is too small in terms of the amount of storage on offer. They should make it a bit bigger for those on that tier.

It would be great to be able to have multiple files open within Dropbox without having to leave the file I'm currently using. The search could be made more intuitive. Right now, the search function works in a way that is very similar to the way it works on a laptop. Where you'll have a folder within a folder, etc. It would be a lot more intuitive if I could directly put in my link and restore destination rather than sharing the address of that folder. It would be good if Dropbox could account for grammatical errors as well in the search function. For example, if there is a mistake in the spelling I have put in, it should suggest a destination. A better data reviver would also be great.

The solution allows one only a certain amount of free storage, but he must pay for a subscription, perhaps on a six-month basis, if he wishes to maintain this. While I feel the price being charged to be reasonable, it should either be more cost-effective or account for an increased amount of storage space.

Dropbox could introduce some sort of a notification with respect to how much storage you have left out of what is purchased. For example, I cannot tell you how much storage my company has purchased, nor do I know how much we are currently using. So that might be one thing that could be improved upon.

It is adequate for my needs, as well as those of the average person. When you consider a private cloud for improved security, there will be fees, and the process will become more complicated. If someone manages a large amount of data, they will need more storage, which they must purchase.

When it comes to the type of software that is available, Microsoft is attractive because it comes in a bundle. It is easier to maintain rather than having separate subscriptions for it. If Dropbox or Google Drive could have the same software and bundle as Microsoft, then that would be great. I would like to see integration with Office products, it would be very helpful. It would also be helpful if Dropbox could store data. It may already be possible, but I haven't tried it.

The drawback to this product is the cost. When you use other solutions such as Google Drive or Microsoft, their office suite is accessible and integrated with other things. Dropbox is just a files product. If Dropbox wants to compete, they should be offering it at a reasonable price given that the product is only a file storage solution.

I think Google Drive shows the log of the file better than Dropbox and its installation and use are easier than Dropbox. Dropbox is a little bit complex and it could be that someone would have a hard time using it. For example, I am a computer engineer so it's easy for me to install a software and solve a problem, for example, the installation process. But maybe somebody would not be able to do it. I think Dropbox could make the installation and the log of what has changed in a file easier. Showing logs could be more accessible.

The arrangement of documents can be simplified. Personally, I am used to it, but for a new user, it might be a little confusing. It can maybe have a feature to allow people to collaborate or work on the same document at the same time. I'm just using it to load and access information, and I haven't faced many challenges. However, I have seen that the whole system or laptop slows down a bit when I am synchronizing files to Dropbox. I don't know if it is because of my system. It might be good if they can enhance the synchronization process so that we can specify that synchronization should be done after 30 minutes. In addition, synchronization should only be done for the documents that have been uploaded.

File version control can be improved. It generates a lot of conflicts when people are working on the same file. When working simultaneously in the same file, a conflict tends to be generate when both save the file. This is solved by replacing with the latest version but is not automatic. Its integration with other solutions can be improved in terms of user experience. Integration is there, and it has connectors for Excel, Word, and other solutions, but it is not very friendly. There should be a better user experience. The open a excel file using the offlien application you must access the file directly on the folder, so you can't jump from DropBox portal online version to the offline version of the app.

We are moving to Microsoft Teams. Instead of Dropbox, we will be using Microsoft Teams that has the advantage of saving the versions. It supports file versioning so that you can always go back to the previous version if you want to. If somebody has made a change in one of the files and you don't know what changes have been made, you can always go back to the previous version. This feature led us to migrate to Microsoft Teams. With Dropbox, there is no option for simultaneous work. This feature is there in Google Files. In Microsoft Teams, you can invite team members to collaborate. That is the reason why I prefer Microsoft Teams over Dropbox. It should also have more integration with other solutions.

The file storage space between a business account and a personal account is not compatible. For example, if a person has a business account and has storage of one terabyte where he stores files into, and I have a personal account with only ten gigabytes available for me to view, then all of the files are stored in my team member's business account. Once I have reached the ten gigabytes of storage, I am not able to synchronize any data even though my teammate, who has one terabyte of storage, is where the files are stored. The problem with the storage is that you are only able to synchronize the information within the amount of storage that you have. It doesn't matter if you are accessing from a team member who has more storage, the limitations are with your storage. This is a problem that I am facing. If I withhold my storage and someone shares a file with me, I will not be able to synchronize locally because I personally do not have enough storage.
