The product must have in-built SD-WAN connectivity. A central logging platform must be integrated with the tool. Instead of being a standalone product, it must be merged with the platform to make a complete solution for network security.

There could be more integration into the wider Fortinet Fabric. For instance, FortiEMS and its support for SD-WAN don't work very well. So, in future releases, integration with the wider Fortinet security fabric would be great. It's about broadening the integration with other Fortinet products. FortiPortal only presents what you can do within a FortiGate. So it misses out everything else. So all the other Fortinet products aren't integrated into FortiPortal. So the scope is quite narrowed. So the main thing I'd like it to do is be able to broaden the scope to other Fortinet products.

A lot of things could be improved. For example, right now, it's going through an iteration of change. The most recent version, which needed a whole new rebuild, is much more improved. Version seven and above is much more improved and much more stable from our testing. However, they could continue to refine it. If you are a very small company or a person on your own, it's harder to get any response from technical support.

We are in the education space. We use more specific education-based reporting. It's useful for us but if it had more educational reporting, it would good. It's not necessarily lacking but it's an area that could get better. If we had more throughput requirements, a bigger model would be useful.
I would like to see the capability of remote access included in the next release of this solution. Fingerprint access security would improve this solution.

The tool should provide a 10-15 days extension for customers when their license expires.
