Price is one of the major problems of the solution, and because of this, our company's customers want to migrate to some other product from Huawei. The aforementioned area needs to be considered for improvement.

Huawei Wireless's web content filter needs improvement. Additionally, there could be a console port for demonstration or configuration purposes.

The ongoing support and ongoing follow-up on customers is an area where the solution lacks. Mist, on the other hand, offers good support. So, Huawei somehow has room for improvement in the area of support.

I have encountered connectivity issues with the tool. I am not sure if it is due to Wi-Fi inference. I would like the solution to include some marketing analytics features like evaluation of user behavior.

What needs improvement in Huawei Wireless is after-sales support. I've faced many after-sales support issues, so that's the area I want Huawei to improve. Having an SLA with customers is what I'd suggest to Huawei Wireless.

The demo program is an area for improvement in Huawei Wireless as it's hard to use. As a partner, you can use the solution for free, for thirty days, for example. On paper, everything looks fine, but you have to get permission and explain why you want to download the software, even if it's just for demo purposes. I don't get why I have to do this as a partner and still give an explanation that this would be for a demo setup. Downloading the solution isn't a click-and-install process that should go smoothly and efficiently. You have to get a lot of approvals and explain a lot, and in the end, you find out that you received the approval for one piece of software. It looks like you need additional software to use the software. My company asked for approval and received the approval three days later, but you need to install another software to use some of the features. In the past, most features were separate. Because Huawei wants a single pane of glass where all features should work with the Huawei equipment, Huawei decided to combine everything into the iMaster NCE Campus, which incorporates every other cloud solution. However, you still have to ask for approval for every piece of software, and without clear information on the features, the type of software, and the software files required, it's not so good from my point of view. My company gave feedback to Huawei about this, and the explanation was that Huawei Wireless is a complex solution. Still, you can present your ideas to Huawei, and Huawei will give you advice on how to download the software, for example. However, this is a demo software, so how can you be sure what features you want to use without knowing how to work with the device? My team didn't get the training, even if Huawei provided a lot of training. Every quarter, Huawei includes training for different types of products. Still, my team wanted to test the product and start learning through testing, but it looks like it's better to have the free online training first and see what the features are and how to set up Huawei Wireless before doing the demo. In the future, I'd like Huawei Wireless to offer a free cloud solution or free licenses similar to what other vendors provide. For example, Aruba and Cisco offer two levels or types of WiFi equipment. Cisco has Meraki, and there's Meraki Go, a free cloud solution. Aruba has Instant, and Instant On, a license-free WiFi solution. Huawei Wireless currently doesn't have free options for SMB customers, which is what Huawei needs to bring in more SMB customers.

They should actually first test the equipment thoroughly and then launch it. Sometimes, things come out too soon, before they are ready. What happens is they launch too early, and then a problem is found and they have to fix it and the client gets very annoyed. The initial setup is a bit complex. The configuration is not that easy. Specifically, using the GUI interface is quite difficult to understand.

Huawei Wireless has a small technical problem. When you use a power injector, it needs to be specially configured for the switch to which it is connected. It tries to take power not from the power injector but from the switch. The funny thing when you look at it is that you have three switches or maybe four or five that are theoretically capable. However, the port on these switches is disabled. When you connect the access point to a power injector, the access point checks for features from the switch, but on this port, the switch doesn't do power. So, the access point changes these features to energy save mode and cuts off some features, especially WiFi 6. It took me two weeks to find out what's going on and how to mitigate this sort of problem. It is very easy to fix. You need to disable LLDP on the port on which you connect the access point to the power injector. Power injectors aren't quite commonly used, but I have 54 access points, and I have used about 27 power injectors. So, about half of the access points were working at reduced speed, not full speed, for two weeks.

As such, there are no problems. It has been good. There were some issues with the network design, but that is not specifically related to the product. We had to make some improvements in the network design. The product as such is fine, and there are no big issues. We are using the latest version having most of the features available in the industry, so the specs are very high. If something new comes up new in the industry, it needs to be incorporated into the product.

Huawei has a bit of a gap in the SMB segment. Apart from the enterprise and big customers, you have also very big market in India for the small- and medium-class businesses (SMBs) and Huawei Wireless could adapt to these smaller businesses. SMB IT procurement is almost 40 to 45 percent of the business happening. I would recommend for Huawei to introduce some SMB product line because Cisco and Aruba, which are very big organizations, already have very good SMB product portfolios. Very recently, Aruba introduced one product portfolio called Aruba Instant On. That is completely designed for the SMB product portfolio and requirements. While there is not much in the feature set, it can meet the daily needs of a small home office, enterprise, or hospitality industry, then be position with very aggressive pricing. These Cisco and Aruba products also work with clustering and can be managed by apps. In addition, Aruba has a future roadmap they manage with some cloud-based authentication and best positioning. They will be introducing this features very soon. I would like to see Network Access Control (NAC) features going forward.

Improving the visibility, control offered, and cloud management would all be very helpful. Also how you can monetize the information you get from Wi-Fi controllers should be improved.

Huawei WLAN products are compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards to establish high-speed, secure, and reliable wireless network connections for indoor and outdoor applications.WLAN products can be used in enterprise offices, schools, hospitals, large shopping malls, exhibition centers, airports, and more.
