We need to virtualize using HPE SimpliVity solutions. Which model best suits this environment? We are looking at an entry level solution.
Hello, I suppose you'll host both processes and databases for Sage 300 on this Simplivity infrastructure.
I recommend using the hardware accelerated Simplivity nodes which offer best performances for the storage (compression/deduplication) without using too much CPU.
Then depending on your needs (CPUs, RAM, storage) you'll choose the size of the node (XSmall, Small, Medium, Large, XLarge)
HPE SimpliVity 325 Gen10
Expandable in 1 node increments up to 96 total nodes
Processor - Choice of AMD® EPYCTM 7002 Series Processors
Memory - 256GB to 2048GB (Per node depending on configuration)
Network - 10Gb, 1Gb
Power - Redundant
Virtualization Software and Licensing
All in a compact 1U form factor
1 PCIe expansion slot (Slot 1 PCIe 3.0)
How does hyper-converged differ from converged?
Is one better than the other? When would one choose converged, rather than hyper-converged?
Are there pros and cons to each type of solution?
What are key factors that businesses should take into consideration when choosing between traditional SAN and hyper-converged solutions?
