Migration of SAP Storage from EVA 8400 models to 3PAR All Flash Array with minimal downtime
Performed online Oracle 12c Data File Migrations, without any impact to users. The only downtime required was to swap the control file of locations \since they were locked.
We migrated 32 instances of SAP (Dev, QA, Prod) to 3Par AFA and experienced very good compression.
Only issue was the need to adjust buffer cache within VXFS file systems, convosync to remove buffering which was required with slower EVAs.
Not really, we would not waste time troubleshooting vxfs mount options, but all the other activities would be the same.
