An investor with a multidisciplinary background in private equity, engineering, art and social development.

Ben is a Managing Director at CoralReef.io. He works with tech entrepreneurs to provide the capital and resources they need to grow world class businesses. He has invested in over 10 technology startups and is currently a director of Fliplet and strategic advisor to SupaPass. Ben has mentored at Techstars, Ignite 100, Mass Challenge and Oxygen accelerators as well as lectured at General Assembly.

Ben's background is in private equity. He held investment director roles at 3i Group plc and Barclays Private Equity where he managed multiple investments and corporate sales and sat on the board of 10 companies. Prior to this he worked in corporate finance at Ernst & Young and in market research at FreshMinds.

Ben has also worked on a number of social impact and art projects such as TradeRelief, Root Matter and Exhibition Collective. Ben founded Root Matter in 2015 - a project aimed at mapping complicated debates and discussions to help people understand them better and get to the root or the matter. In 2008 Ben helped set up TradeRelief - a charity investing in social enterprises in developing countries. Ben is a member of Exhibition Collective and has exhibited artwork in several London galleries.

Ben holds a 1st class Masters in Engineering Science from Oxford University, an Investment Management Certificate from the CFA, and obtained a Chartered Accountancy qualification from ICAS
