TSM Server v6.2.2 (recently upgraded to Spectrum Protect Server v7.1.7) running on AIX 6.1, configured with 8 cores, 128 GB RAM, 3 TB of storage for DB and logs. Connected to EMC Data Domain Appliance (11 TB) and IBM TS3500 Tape Library with 6 x Ultrium 4 FC Drives and 6 x Ultrium 6 FC Drives; with 3000 slots.
Configured for LAN-Free backup (using Spectrum Protect Storage Agent) on DB and Mail servers.
Using Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments to off-load snapshots from ESXs to Spectrum Protect storage pools. Implemented incremental forever snapshots for VM backups. Able to recover up to to file-level using image mount feature.
Using Active Data Pools on for fast recovery of backup up data. Two copy pools; one each for onsite and remote vault facility.
Using node data replication to bring backup/archive data from production to disaster recovery facility.
