Extensive experience 23+ years including, but not limited to: Novell, Microsoft, Cisco, HP, Juniper, VMware, Citrix , some Linux, and thousands of P2Vs, server installations, network builds / design / installations, I bring the complete, well-rounded, needed experience in building a sustainable, scalable, and recoverable virtualized core.

In 2007 I launched NetITSolutions, LLC (now Paragrid, Inc), where we have grown to become a leading integrator of networking, servers, SAN, and countless successful virtualization projects. We are a leading provider of HP virtualized storage, understanding the many technical facets of a solid, scalable design.

I have built and maintained enterprise networks with hundreds of Cisco and HP L3 switches (as well as other vendors like Juniper, Foundry), servers and locations, thousands of users, and began working with VMware in 2000. I have had migrated thousands of physical hosts to virtual guests.

I trademarked terms like “virtualization domination”, as well as coined the phrase “Virtual SODA”, where you create a dynamic portable environment, “bottled” up in virtualization that can move to provide business continuance / on-demand throughput / and disaster recovery.

Virtualizing my first server and desktop in 2001, I soon realized that the community of virtualization, the importance of disk IOPS and the need for virtualized storage provided the foundation to scale North. Providing a balance to space and spindles, having 12 years of SAN experience, I learned how to design systems to scale, and be highly resilient in the event of failure.

I believe that a virtualization engineer should posses extensive knowledge of, but not limited to, (SAN, OS, networking – OSI model, L3 design concepts, 802.1q, virtual switching, firewalls, security, and of course the players of virtualization: Citrix and VMware.
