About me

I have worked in School-based Medicaid programs for the last 14 years. I have a deep understanding of the Federal Regulations that form the core of Medicaid claiming in LEAs and School Districts. I have worked in 15-20 different States and understand how State decisions on how to set up their Medicaid claiming methodology can result in assisting School Districts in accessing Title XIX/Medicaid funds. I have a passion for assisting School District personnel that do not have the time or expertise to properly navigate the complex policies and regulations that comprise Medicaid claiming in school districts. I want those staff to have more time doing what they should be doing - assisting students that badly need it.

I have extensive experience with three core programs that allow schools to access Medicaid funds:

- Fee-for-Service (or Direct Service) claiming

- School District Administrative Claiming (SDAC or MAC) claiming

- Cost Reconciliation reimbursement.

I have performed several roles in the space including sales, project operations, IT management and product development. My experience in those roles has taught me that my most valuable skills are:

- I understand how schools work and the roadblocks that stand between it and Medicaid funding

- I can't program but know how to manage programmers to deliver useful products

- I can close in the room

- I am a guy you want in the foxhole - I keep cool when others around me panic.

- I don't care who gets credit - I just want to get the job done.

- I know how to manage a client properly so they never become a problem client

- I have big ideas - but so does everyone - I can actually execute them.

I enjoy what I do immensely. If you feel I could assist you in these areas please feel free to contact me.
