I fully agree with the Dylan's view. It all depends on what your specific requirements are. The best way to go about comparing the two is to do a request for proposal based on a scenario and to see what the vendors propose.

About me

Louisa Venter is a Senior ECM Specialist, working in the Gauteng EIM Business Unit at Datacentrix. Born in Pretoria, Louisa studied at the University of Pretoria, where she gained a Masters Degree in History and a Higher Education Diploma. In 1994 she completed a National Diploma in Archival Science at Technikon SA.
Louisa has a string of specialist knowledge management qualifications to her name. These include, to name only a few, Records Management (State Archives Service), Electronic Service Provision (University of Pretoria), Document Management Training (Logistic Technologies). Louisa is an internationally accredited AIIM ECM Master, ERM Master, SharePoint for ECM Master, SharePoint for Collaboration Master, as well as a Taxonomy and Metadata Practitioner.
Louisa’s passion for knowledge management has resulted in a 27-year career in the field, culminating in her appointment at Datacentrix in March 2013. She spent 19 years at the National Archives, starting out as an archivist in 1988. Here she progressed to senior and then principal archivist, followed by an appointment as an assistant director and, ultimately, being appointed as Deputy Director: Electronic Records Management Programme.
Louisa then joined Content at Work for three and a half years as the General Manager of the Content at Work Academy.
Louisa joined NokusaEI in July 2011 as Senior ECM Consultant until February 2013 when NokusaEI became the Gauteng EIM Unit of Datacentrix.
At Datacentrix Louisa loves the challenge of developing solutions for clients to harness ECM for optimum business results. Her responsibilities include; analysis of client business processes, planning strategies for and contributing to the design of ECM solutions and training clients in the implementation and use of ECM systems.
