I've been in IT for over 18 years however, I've been been a student forever. My background in technology, music and business provides me with a very unique perspective on how the business of IT should be run. That's right, IT is a business and unless it can get it's stuff together, the average IT director is going to be nothing more than a contracts manager as the business decides to leverage 3rd party innovation suppliers.

I've worn many hats in my life and that means that in addition to leading a team, I'm happy to roll up my sleeves and crawl through that data center raised floor if need be. As a leader, my success is dictated by the successes of the people around me. My job is to empower people to lead and drive innovation for the business. If they can do that then I'm doing my job.
