Answered a question: Do general purpose or OLTP Oracle databases really perform better on SPARC based servers?
Comparing OLTP 11g/12c performance just at x86 vs SPARC will need to at least do following -
1. Keep same memory
2. Keep same I/O response
3. Count total threads between x86 and SPARC
4. Keep in mind x86 has 0.5 multiplying factor
