About me

Kent Graziano is a Senior Technical Evangelist for Snowflake Computing (http://snowflake.net) and an award winning author, speaker, and trainer, in the areas of data modeling, data architecture, data warehousing. He is an Oracle ACE Director, a certified Data Vault Master and Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner (CDVP2), expert data modeler and solution architect with more than 30 years of experience, including two decades doing data warehousing and business intelligence (in multiple industries). He is an internationally recognized expert in Oracle Designer and Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler. Mr. Graziano is also highly experienced in developing and leading successful software and data warehouse implementation teams, including several agile DW/BI teams.

Mr. Graziano was the founding chair of the BI/DW SIG of the Oracle Development Tools User Group (ODTUG, http:\\www.odtug.com)) as well as one of ODTUG’s past presidents. He is also a past President of the Rocky Mountain Oracle Users Group (RMOUG, http://www.rmoug.org), and was the founding Dean of the International Oracle Users Group (IOUG) University. In 2003 he was presented with The Doug Faughnan Award for his dedicated service and outstanding contributions to RMOUG. He received the ODTUG Volunteer award in 2007. Mr. Graziano is an active member of the Houston Chapter of DAMA International and a former member of the Boulder BI Brain Trust (http://www.bbbt.us/ ).

Mr. Graziano has given over 100 presentations worldwide, and written as many articles, on various RDBMS, data architecture, data warehouse, and information technology topics and is often an invited speaker for both national and international events. He was a co-author on the first book on Data Vault, and the technical editor for Super Charge Your Data Warehouse (the main technical book for Data Vault 1.0).

Mr. Graziano is also one of the pioneers of Universal Data Models having coauthored the 1st Edition of The Data Model Resource Book with Bill Inmon and Len Silverston.
