Splunk would probably be a lean solution unless you guys are a heavy IBM shop. Splunk is a lot more lightweight and probably will be cheaper as well.

Sorry, don’t have any experience with Moogsoft but take a look at CA Service Operations Insight (SOI). It will provide you that same capability but much more features.

Agree on all points. Support can definitely use some improvements. Cost efficiency, or lack there of, needs to improve also (with licensing and product cost). Certainly one of the better robust tool with deep dive capability. Still need to work on seamless integration…

Feliz, It's probably better to look into MTP which will give you a better exposure on the networks side as well as provide TIMaaS (built into it). Also, totally agree with you that you need a separate team just to admin and maintain this tool on a daily basis.

Also, needs improvements on out of the box dashboards. Need more canned dashboards that are in a template form ready to drag and drop. v10 has shown great improvements and future potential of better things to come. Keep up the good work CA

Agree on APM10 coming a long way. Still LOTs of room for improvement, especially on CEM side. Need to seriously think about integrating into ONE product (from install, admin, and user perspective). That will be HUGE!!!

Did you take a look at DynaTrace in addition to AppDynamics? Customization and scalelability is the "key" to a successful APM solution.
