My career started in 1988 when I joined Duquesne Systems, a vendor of Mainframe performance management software. I was a support engineer for almost 7 years and got well acquainted with IT management disciplines such as Performance-, Network- and Storage management.
Duquesne Systems merged with Morino Associates and became Legent Corp.
that was acquired by Computer Associates in ‘95. I became a Pre-sales consultant for Unicenter, IT management software for Distributed Systems. My activities covered the entire suite in various markets, ranging from SMB to large enterprises. In this period I also acted in the Channel business, supporting Distributors, Resellers and System integrators.
In 2000 my focus changed to Storage Management, where I gained expertise in areas such as Backup/Restore, SAN's (SNIA Certified) and Storage Management.
In 2004 my functional/technical storage focus shifted to a business focus. I assisted organizations with the value determination of data stored in the IT infrastructure and how to align data & procedures with business goals.
A logical next step was the move from “raw data” management to Information Governance in 2006. In line with the increased international regulation and data retention & privacy, I consulted organizations on the impact of regulatory changes to their major information streams, like i.e. email.
Since April 2008 I'm fully focused on CA's Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) solution, named CA PPM (formerly CA Clarity PPM). I advise organizations on their endeavors to improve their PPM practices for improving IT Governance processes but also on how to support business Transformation and/or Innovation.
In October 2014 I took on the role of Advisor Presales for the PPM Business Unit and act as the PPM Presales lead for EMEA. Responsibilities of this role are the enablement & support of the EMEA PPM Presales team and to act as a liaison between the EMEA Market space and the USA based business unit.
