As principal technologist, Matt Crooke plays a key role in defining First Point Global’s technology solution strategy and ensuring the company remains at the forefront of IAM innovation. As well as reviewing, testing and integrating new technology solutions, he acts as a principal consultant, project coordinator and implementer of Identity and Access Management, Identity Governance and Services Oriented Architecture solutions.

Matt boasts an impressive record of IAM deployments including nine deployments of SailPoint’s IdentityIQ governance and provisioning platforms for leading organisations across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the United States. He has also implemented countless SOA and IAM deployments spanning financial services, telecommunications, media, retail, mining and government, amongst other sectors.

Matt works closely with customers and is proud to have been at the forefront of introducing both SailPoint Technologies’ identity governance and Layer 7 Technologies’ SOA solutions to Australia. He is passionate about understanding customers’ needs today, anticipating their needs tomorrow, and bringing new technologies to the mainstream in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining First Point Global in August 2006, Matt held various software development roles, including software engineer for IBM in APAC, where he was responsible for development and testing of IAM integrations for IBM’s Identity and Access Manager software.

Matt regularly hosts training for SailPoint’s IdentityIQ identity governance and Layer 7’s SecureSpan SOA software suites. He has also contributed to Layer 7 technology tutorials. He holds a Bachelor of Information Technology in Computer Science from QUT University in Brisbane, Australia.
