Executive with more than 38 years of professional experience, currently full time Professor & Director of the Advanced Analytics Institute at Anahuac University, School of Actuarial Sciences. The institute provides guidance to organizations on the development of advanced analytical and cognitive solutions while generating applied research projects in this area.

Previously he has been Cognitive and Advanced Analytics Executive and Associate Partner at IBM Global Business Services. Before joining IBM in April 2014, Miguel spent 7+ years working for Citi Bank / Banamex, managing Operations & Technology, as well as Reengineering for BI and Consumer Credit & Risk.

Prior to joining Banamex Miguel spent more than 18 years in the IT Services and Management Consulting business working for companies such as IBM, Coopers & Lybrand and General Motors. As a consultant he has worked in different industries such Financial, Industrial, Manufacturing and Pharmaceutical, serving customers like: Scotiabank, American Express, Bancomer, Telmex, Packar, Grupo Industrial Saltillo, Bristol Myers Squibb, P&G, J&J, Gamesa, Kraft Foods, Grupo Modelo and Comercial Mexicana, among others.

Excellent track record managing large teams, developing new businesses and delivering profitable and complex projects. Responsible for P&L for different business units. Strong leadership and team building skills as well as strong interpersonal skills, and a solid statistical and analytical background.

Miguel holds a B.Sc. degree in Actuarial Sciences from the National Autonomous University and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has published several papers in Mexican and International journals and has been a speaker in several conferences in Mexico and abroad.
