My innovative design concept using component-based "pods" for predictable growth and ease of management became the basis of NetApp's FlexPod, with Cisco Nexus switches, VMware and NetApp storage.

In 2006, I led a team that analyzed and remediated the Continuity of Operations Plan for the Pentagon. It gets no more complex than this! I am an expert in technical Business Continuity and have designed and implemented working configurations for some of the most complex organizations on the planet.

I was an early adopter of virtualization by initiating VMWare projects as early as 2002. I was a pioneer of using workload performance metrics to optimize virtualized infrastructure design and ensure successful deployments of technology. I keep current with OpenStack initiatives and am intimately familiar with object based storage for cloud storage, backup and archive.

As a complete infrastructure expert, I have expertise in using most of the popular management and monitoring tools to achieve goals as part of the holistic application solution. Professionally and personally, I've used UNIX and Linux operating systems for many years and am competent as a system administrator. I know TCP/IP networking and most features of popular Ethernet and Infiniband switches.
