Installation and configuration of Cisco Wireless Controller (CT5508) and 350 access points throughout the current infrastructure
Wireless Guidelines were prepared to be used throughout the infrastructure with specifications of VLANs, AP naming, SSID, Encryption Methods. The Wireless controller was installed and configured in the Head Office and required testing was done. Proper documentation was made and existing access points in all remote (Store) locations were migrated. Market research was done for Cabling Service suppliers and a reliable, efficient supplier was selected through proper analysis and RFQ process.
Project schedule was made and given to the supplier for Access point installation.
Managed and monitored the work flow to finish the project effectively before the deadline.
If I had to do it again with more time; I would focus more on the efficient placing of the access points to get maximum coverage and minimum interference.
