About me

I've been active in the barcoding business for over 20 years, as an engineer, programmer, presenter, educator, and product specialist. I know barcoding from the machine level (from assembling decoders and Zebra printers) to the print-and-apply presentation level. I've helped customers create compliance labeling solutions for supply chain management using a variety of platforms (raw ZPL, Codesoft, Loftware, LabelView, LabelMatrix, BarTender, NiceLabel, and Zebra's BarOne) and have witnessed the evolution of the GS1, UID, and RFID standards from close-up. For the past six years, I have been a developer and product manager of a robust mobile application suite (developed in MCL3/MCL4) supporting production, distribution and inventory control for a vertical-driven Microsoft-based ERP package. I've designed, developed, implemented and supported WMS software of various types, including IntelliTrack, Savant and MTI's INVision suite. I'm well-versed in SQL and familiar with XML, EDI and cloud-based applications. I'm a neo-generalist with problem solving and presentation skills who has managed projects both large and small, short term and long term.
