I have worked in the IT industry for nearly 20 years. In that time I have been in a wide range of environments from power generating wind turbines, to manufacturing, to the office environment. Below is a summary of my experiences:
Charlotte Pipe and Foundry
Currently, on the server team responsible for day-to-day maintenance on company servers (Cisco UCS, XenServer, VMware) and Active Directory. Work on a team with 3 other individuals. My primary focus is maintaining the company's data backups with EMC Avamar, although I also have experience with NetBackup, BackupExec, and Data Domain. Part of this responsibility also includes maintaining the storage infrastructure (VNX and Isilon). I have an extensive background in data backup and recovery. I also work with Exchange 2010, ProofPoint, and Citrix XenApp\XenDesktop 7.6. For the past four years, I have been working on the document retention and eDiscovery task. As part of this process I am primarily responsible for data protection. This has involved implementing Varonis for file monitoring and alerting.
LandDesign, Inc, Charlotte, NC
Part of the IT team that performed desk side support for users in each of our six offices. Configure deployed and maintained Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003 servers, and Windows XP workstations, NetScreen firewalls, and Cisco routers. Tested and deployed a variety of products. Familiar with using the following applications: Veritas, Real VNC, DameWare, Symantec Ghost, Symantec Antivirus, NetMeeting, Microsoft VPN, and Netscreen VPN client.
Senior Field Representative
Advanced Technology Services, Charlotte, NC
Duties Included: Maintaining on-site support for local customers. Repaired all hardware issues on servers, PC’s, and printers. Configured, installed, and administrated desktops and servers. Traveled extensively to other accounts as technical support. Performed both network and server administration.
Banctec Service Corporation, Charlotte, NC
Duties included: Managed 18 local and remote technicians on a daily basis. Ran day to day operations in the area which included interviewing/hiring employees and tracking monthly P&L. Generated monthly reports based on each persons performance. Provided Tier II support to the local technicians on PC’s, servers, networks, and custom manufactured banking systems. Performed service and support on IBM 3890 check sorters.
