About me

I am a dedicated and organized technical writer and communicator with experience in writing diverse content, including instructional manuals, standard operating procedures, software documentation, online help, business processes and training materials. I have managed content in SharePoint, knowledge bases, wikis, XML-based authoring software, version control systems and agile planning tools.

The software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms for which I have developed content offer a wide range of business solutions: high-value transactions in a virtual deal room, revenue management and forecasting for the hospitality industry and visualization tools for big data. Users need to understand complex processes and concepts these applications. I strive to convey what users need to know in a clear, simple manner to ease this complexity using appropriate and timely delivery methods. I believe that good documentation adds significant value to a product through increased usability, user satisfaction and decreased support calls.

In the course of my writing responsibilities, I have collaborated with subject matter experts while working toward my own level of subject matter knowledge. I aspire to speak the language of both my experts and my audience and act as a content translator. My audiences have been global and diverse, with industry expertise but varying levels of technical abilities, and I work to tailor content to address their multiple needs.

I am interested in developing my career as a technical communicator via documentation development, process communication and content management.
