Yes I agree with your point. Microsoft BI is not a tool, but is a platform/solution. Mostly in the Industry right now its referred for SQL SERVER, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS. There is a Microsoft Power BI which is referred for Sharepoint, Power Pivot, Power maps, Power view, etc…
