SAS Institute is an American developer of analytics software based in Cary, North Carolina. SAS develops and markets a suite of analytics software, which helps access, manage, analyze and report on data to aid in decision-making. The company is the world's largest privately held software business SAS has developed a model workplace environment and benefits program designed to retain employees, allow them to focus on their work, and reduce operating costs. It provides on-site, subsidized or free healthcare, gyms, daycare and life counseling services.Harte Hanks is an American marketing services company headquartered in Uptown San Antonio, Texas. It was formerly a publisher of newspapers and pennysaver products, and owned broadcast media companies including TV and radio stations. Harte Hanks' first newspapers were Hanks' Abilene Reporter-News and Harte's San Angelo Standard. The company bought two competing newspapers in Greenville, Texas in the mid-1950s, consolidating them into the Herald-Banner after two years of fierce rivalry. A court case followed, with Harte Hanks accused of unfair competition. The chain was acquitted of the charges in 1959.
