We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It's not working perfectly, but Microsoft's Autopilot offers great visibility into automated deployment solutions.""The best feature is that we don't need to worry about downtime. We don't need to worry about the network connections of our office or the virtual private network. Everything is being done through the internet. Using Intune Autopilot, we can configure and deploy everything to the devices.""We can manage and standardize security across your environment, identify problems, receive alerts, and so on. That's its purpose, and that's also why it's so good.""By using Microsoft Intune we can control which websites the users can go to and it provides a secure environment for our employees using their laptops that are having access from home. We have installed Intune to control the user's environment minimizing the chances of any hacking.""Technical support, in general, has been quite helpful.""It's normally able to meet 100% expectations of our customers.""The stability of Microsoft Intune is good.""This product offers an alternative solution to other UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) solutions."

"The solution's ability to scale is good.""When we do the automation in the cloud, we use the SSM agent. This helps us to test our automation and documents, and monitor the cloud.""Systems Manager has a feature where it analyzes the logs and gives us a performance overview in the form of a graph. We know when it's taking up more resources and when there are spikes, so we can predict the usability.""AWS provides Auto Scaling groups.""Has a variety of automation options.""With AWS Systems Manager, our company can patch our systems directly from it, so we don't need to patch our systems manually.""The solution is user-friendly"

"Compliance is also huge... By tying it to Atrium Orchestrator, our workflow tool, we'll be able to have a closed loop where we identify a compliance issue, cut CRs, get them approved, and then be able to execute these CRs and more seamlessly fix these issues on the fly.""The ability to script and create BL packages to perform various functions. This makes automating our environment relatively easy to do.""The most important feature is the schedulings.""BMC Bladelogic Automation can be used across many OS platforms, providing us flexibility for deployments.""Server Automation's best feature is automated patching. It also helps us automate compliance and report generation. We can even integrate TrueSight Server Automation with a vulnerability management solution to remedy vulnerabilities by applying patches, deploying scripts, or changing registry entries.""The best feature of the solution is patch automation.""The product's valuable feature is its ability to conduct patching for multiple servers simultaneously.""BladeLogic lets users view the filesystem with minimal authorization to the server."

Cons
"Intune could add more Linux security features and more integration with on-prem devices. The application deployments can also be improved.""Lacking ability to leverage more iOS device management internally.""Once it's configured it is unobtrusive, but it does take some hands-on to configure and deploy it properly.""The add-ons must be integrated into the solution.""Microsoft Intune is not user-friendly to manage and has room for improvement.""There is improvement needed in integrating with the installed Office solutions versions, such as Office 2019. The Office 365 integrates without a problem.""There can be delays in the deployment of new policies.""In future releases, I would like to see better integration with Apple products."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"The current challenge is that we can't pull any incidents from other accounts.""AWS does not have EKS cluster backup.""Additional features can be added as per customer requirements.""Lacks sufficient integrations.""The AWS UIs are not the most intuitive. Also, the usability needs room for improvement.""The fact that AWS Systems Manager takes time to complete the patching process, makes it an area where improvements are required.""We formerly used third-party products to analyze the log, give us information, and find bottlenecks. Systems Manager could provide more tools that conduct this analysis, so we don't have to do it ourselves."

More AWS Systems Manager Cons →

"TrueSight falls short when we are trying to gather large amounts of data from multiple servers. We need to do these tasks manually because there is no option to populate the data and export it to Excel, which is required. For example, let's say I'm trying to find out how many patches are missing on the servers and which ones have been installed. It's hard to automatically pull each server's data in an Excel format.""Without any knowledge of the product, we used the KB articles to start working. As a result, we definitely did not have full knowledge of BMC BladeLogic... They need to provide a minimum of knowledge with training on YouTube or somewhere else.""I would like to see a better methodology for handling REST calls and integration into the APIs. They add new APIs as they add functions, but they've missed some from older components which they still haven't added in. Some of the APIs are there but the CLI calls are not there.""A better CLI Database cleanup tool would help us with our regular maintenance of BladeLogic Server Automation.""We encountered some reporting issues. Also, we needed to gather information from the backend before the product execution. The output's format is not good.""Scaling the environment during setup at larger organizations with 10,000 employees gets complicated.""Needs more use cases into compliance management and the remediation process.""There is no option to see all the servers we patch and we cannot find what the server status is. Of course, we can what has been completed and what is pending and which servers have failed, but we cannot find server status from the BMC tool. For example, is the RDP up or not. We are using separate scripts for that."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

AWS Systems Manager is a management service that helps you automatically collect software inventory, apply OS patches, create system images, and configure Windows and Linux operating systems.
