We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.

Pros
"The local administrator can manage all the user's logins in one, simple, straight-away account access. Additionally, the solution is user-friendly.""A sophisticated and mature solution.""The most valuable features of BeyondTrust DevOps Secrets Safe are the ease of use and the API is very nice. Additionally, the interface is very good between AD and Unix.""DevOps Secrets Safe allows you to customize a lot of rules."

"I like the one-way hash, as well as the ability to store it in the cloud and access it from anywhere.""There has been no downtime this year.""It offers the possibility of secure administration of hardware devices, as well as Linux systems administration from a Windows environment.""The privileged access management module is the most reliable feature.""The privileged access management, which is the Safe Access Model is the most valuable feature.""The user interface is quite good. It's very straightforward.""The most valuable feature of this solution is the random changing of passwords.""Its most valuable feature is its main purpose - the password changing and the Heartbeat so the user has access to only their SVN and does not have access to any other. Thycotic's access privileged management tool allows you to grant access to users for a specific period of time and with specific attributes and privileges."

Cons
"The support for the solution is not very good, they could improve by being quicker.""The product contains some bugs.""You need to improvise many of the customized rules, which can lead to some errors. BeyondTrust should reduce the error rate.""We had some issues with the solution and once we contacted support they eventually solved the problem. They could improve their response time."

More BeyondTrust DevOps Secrets Safe Cons →

"One thing that I wish they would do is to have a Kubernetes or container-based deployment supported, but they're not quite there yet. Containerization or support for containerization would be fantastic.""I formerly used only one service: the remote server. For example, I connected to the Active Directory user and the computer's console. But now, I need to do a remote connection to the domain controller. Maybe it only connects to that tool, the Active Directory users, and the computer management console, but not to the domain controller. Another thing Delinea could add is multi-factor authentication.""I would like to see the shadowing of ongoing terminal sessions (Remote Desktop Mirroring).""There are some things that I know are really important to include like A/B version features which are available in Windows. I would say that they should be included in the road map.""The UI needs improvement because the interface is a little clumsy.""As I am partial to CyberArk, I rate Thycotic Password Reset Server as a nine out of ten, owing to the minor glitches I mentioned.""There could be tweaks here and there. For example, instead of going to one main function to do this and another main function to do that, the solution could remap the user interface so that a person only has to go through one function. The way that function branches off should make a bit more sense.""Although the password policy was interesting, the default setting was inadequate."

  • "It isn't terribly expensive."
  • "The price of this solution is good."
  • "The pricing is standard in this business and we have no complaints about it."
  • "Its price is okay. We don't compete on pricing. We seldom use price to win over our competitors. We prefer it this way because if we can sustain the price, we make more margin as well. We don't want the price to go down to the bottom where despite the win, there's no margin at all."
  • "Secret Server is expensive when compared to the cost to some alternatives."
  • "There are different plans and additional licensing costs that can be instituted for add-ons."
  • "There is an annual license fee per user and the price is fair."
  • "They are priced quite well."
