Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Its cost is the most valuable. It is not as expensive. It is also easy to make different types of processes for the users.""The most valuable feature is the organizational modeling capability.""Bizagi is a very useful tool because it does not require you to program. The user logic is very easy to understand even for people who are not engineers or developers.""The natural notation is the best feature of Bizagi because it makes it compatible with other products.""It automates a completely manual, complicated process.""One of the features I like is that when drawing any task, when putting a task on the process model canvas, I can simply click on it and see the other task icons for that task. It's just one quick, simple, straightforward connectivity from task to task.""Your team can work on it having basic training about databases and BPM modeling.""Bizagi is simple. It's simple to learn."

More Bizagi Pros →

"I like that once you create what you need, you can group that, at least within that drawing, and you have access to that new stencil object or that custom object throughout that drawing.""It is a standard and easy-to-use solution from Microsoft, and you benefit from the general functions of Microsoft solutions. It integrates easily with SharePoint, which is a useful tool from Microsoft.""I enjoy the fact that I can go into detail with Visio. In shared communications, I can inspect for any fault in my processes.""They provide continual enhancements which are always very useful.""The solution is very user-friendly.""Just the fact that a majority of the industry uses it, and you've got third-party templates that were created.""It works really well for flowcharting, it can label.""It is stable. I have never experienced any issues."

Cons
"I would like to see a facility for building a simple CRUD application. In Bizagi, you can use database modeling, diagrams, forms, etc., but in some circumstances I need CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) functionalities which are not there yet.""The gateway through which it connects with other vendors, specifically RPA vendors, is one aspect that could be improved.""Bizagi allows for automation, but it's very complicated.""The tool is expensive and it should improve its pricing.""The open source version lacks the option to publish.""The product used to have a simulation feature, which I had used quite often. However, it's since been discontinued. It might have originally been a paid feature. It would be nice if they could bring it back and offer it for free.""From a developer's point of view, an improvement in the layout would make the UI better.""The technical support is not fast enough and should be improved."

More Bizagi Cons →

"Microsoft should include Visio as part of their Office 365 offering.""It is a visualization tool, so database visualization is pretty static in it. They haven't moved the ERDs very well. They haven't adopted any real visualization like what you have in Hackolade for JSON or other data patterns. It has none of that. If you go onto broader patterns, you can actually label and integrate with a data set, if you want, for Visio, but it's very clunky and very difficult for me to assign that to another user. I can't assign it to a junior or a documenter. They really haven't cleaned up and made their tools simpler to use when linking to data, which is primarily what you're trying to do.""The Auto-Align has improved significantly from the previous release; however, it still jumbles the model if your process diagram has a fair degree of complexity.""Lacks the ability to analyze the different relations between activities, positions and roles.""One issue I've noticed is that when working on a shared video link with a friend for Visio, there can be a delay in changes reflecting on their screen after I've made them. This also occurs when we're working on the same document. It would be beneficial if changes could be reflected in real-time. Additionally, I've experienced some text size issues with the flow task feature. Sometimes when I enter text, it appears very small, and increasing the size causes it to extend beyond the diagram, creating formatting issues. It would be helpful if these text and formatting issues could be addressed.""It thinks that it knows what you want to do, but it doesn't. It has a way of behaving that can be very frustrating from time to time. Either it moves things about because it thinks its placement should be at a certain place, or it's keeping track of things that you don't necessarily see, so it moves something elsewhere.""It needs hyperlinked or narratives for page flows to make demos more effective.""The product only functions well professionally, with adding additional software for configuration."

    Reviews from Real Users

Visio has improved my workflow by making it easy to create charts, diagrams, and essential illustrations to use in my client reports and proposals. It has saved me a lot of time I would otherwise spend creating visuals for clients manually.” - Michael B., Principal Consultant at Lexington Consulting

“I use it for diagramming networks, racks, data centers, data flow applications, etc. It is a useful tool to map data flows, network objects, and computer science technology and to show to clients. It does what I need it to do. It's a tool I've used the longest, so I know it the best, and that's probably the claim to fame.” - Greg S., Director of Solution Architecture at Winslow Technology Group

“We use Visio for architecture modeling. We also use it to facilitate communication with other people. The feature I like most about Visio is that it acts as a facilitator of communication, as it displays information in a way that's easier to understand.” - Guy M., IT/Business Architect at a financial services firm
