We performed a comparison between Cisco Meraki Wireless LAN and Ekahau Site Survey based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about HPE Aruba Networking, Cisco, Ruckus and others in Wireless LAN."The most useful feature of Juniper Wireless AP is the reporting Marvis."
"The solution is pretty generic and easy to use."
"In terms of reporting, in terms of all the user reports, it's very rich."
"The solution is stable."
"The artificial intelligence feature is very good."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is Marvis, the AI-driven network management system."
"With Mist, every Wednesday they roll out new features."
"The simplicity is great."
"The graphic user interface is very nice."
"The most valuable features in Cisco Meraki Wireless LAN are that we were able to see all the registered users for each particular WAP, which is a big help. The roaming allows us to have continuous wireless throughout the building. The signal can carry over from one WAP to another. Which is probably the most important feature."
"With Cisco products and third-party products, integration of Cisco Meraki Wireless LAN is good."
"We use the solution's bandwidth shaping, URL filtering, and group policy configuration features."
"We're able to automate as well as manually control as necessary."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the application visibility, which is one of the main features."
"The solution is stable and reliable."
"The most valuable features of Cisco Meraki Wireless LAN are the ease of use and the ability to manage it from the cloud."
"I like Ekahau's interface and the reports it can generate."
"Ekahau Site Survey is an easy and accurate solution."
"The troubleshooting tools are the most valuable feature of the solution."
"We are satisfied with the way this product is working."
"It is a stable solution."
"I don't handle the software that much. I'll do some of the testing with our CTO. It is primarily him and I. He has commented before that he likes the fact that with two licenses, we can set it up so that when we're on a large facility, he can see where I am and I can see where he is. That's for sure is very handy in large venues."
"Channel planning, access points' auto position, and the size of the spectrum are valuable to me."
"It's easy to plot APs and generate reports."
"The pricing should be made cheaper."
"Enrolling into the tool is a tedious process."
"Improving third-party integration is key for Juniper Mist's next release."
"I need a bit more time with it before criticizing the features."
"The pricing is very high in the Indian market."
"The price could be better."
"It would be helpful to have even stronger security features to help protect against interference from other nearby access points that aren't part of our network."
"The product should include adaptive Wi-Fi to show a more accurate location."
"There needs to be some work done on security because, with time, some viruses may emerge that one may not know about."
"The throughput of the switches for wireless could be improved."
"Meraki is still very much a small office type of solution. It is not a fit for large enterprise networks, as it doesn't have tunneling functionalities."
"I'd like better integration with security providers."
"Despite being enabled, I've encountered an issue where the alert main dashboard fails to detect when any of the devices go down. Hence, the tool's notification feature should improve. We have also faced issues with integration."
"There should be better Spanish-language technical support."
"Concern when there are a number of concurrent users."
"Cisco Meraki must improve the integration between its own family of products."
"I wish there were a competitor to keep Ekahau Site Survey's pricing in line, but there's none."
"I would say that the indoor site accuracy is pretty good but the outdoor one should be improved. I would say if there was a way to put trees in there and canopies, that would be great."
"Sometimes there is a cancellation between two signals that the solution is not able to monitor correctly, this could improve in the future."
"They should improve the iPad application because it's unstable. Also, Ekahau could be better integrated with other vendors."
"I wish the solution was better at making different survey modes."
"Our CTO was not real happy with their support."
"In all of our buildings, whenever we deploy wireless access points, we also have to deploy wireless intrusion detections. The Ekahau Site Survey tool doesn't allow us to differentiate between the access point and the intrusion detection device. That's because they're the same devices, but they're configured differently for the type of usage. That's one area that I would ask them to improve. They should allow the identification of access points versus wireless intrusion detection."
"It would be better if it provided clear visibility. It would be better if it accommodated large physical sites like a warehouse with a ceiling height of more than twelve to fifteen feet. In such situations, we were unable to provide better coverage."
