We performed a comparison between Code42 Incydr and Veeam Backup & Replication based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Backup and Recovery solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."There are a couple of things. One of them is that they have what they call Incydr. Their detection and response solution to the insider threat area is called Incydr. That gives visibility to the clients that have widely dispersed employee bases due to work from home, or that had a dispersed workforce predating any of the work from home requirements. Even though they might not be inside the organization physically, they're inside the organization. It allows us to get some visibility into what people are doing, what the context is, and how to control what might be the potential for intellectual property theft or file exposure."
"Code42 Next-Gen DLP is scalable."
"Backup and recovery have been great, but I love having the ability to keep the hybrid type build which they offer."
"Security tools: Being able to monitor data going in and coming off our endpoints. Seeing what it is and where it's going is awesome."
"t has a very user friendly status bar with common errors and has logs built in to the console so we can review the issues or status of CrashPlan."
"It had the ability to preseed by sending in a data drive and could restore by sending the user a data drive."
"It has quite a bit of flexibility in configuring backup sets."
"Works in the background and users are able to perform restores."
"Veeam Backup Replication is stable I have not had any problems."
"Veeam is highly scalable. In one scenario, we started with 2,000 users and scaled up to 24,000."
"The solution just works consistently. I never have issues with it."
"The initial setup was very easy."
"This is very user-friendly."
"Replication Job base on a source HPE Catalyst store to perform a full reconstruction of our production systems on our third datacenter, which is our DRP Site."
"I have been in contact with technical support and they are very good."
"It's relatively easy to use and the ability to recover in a short period of time has been great."
"Java, please get rid of Java."
"I would like to see more flexibility on privileges, perhaps create another kind of admin for regions. Also, I would like the ability to access logs without having to be on the actual device or a super-admin."
"Reporting could use an overhaul. It is very limited."
"Due to recent changes that effectively abandoned an entire segment of their user base, I no longer trust nor can recommend Code42 products."

"You can't always filter out data that you'd like to."
"In the past, Veeam had a host-based license, but now it will be part of Microsoft's core license. I don't like this licensing model. Host-based licensing is better for my system. Maybe so other organizations prefer the core-based."
"The cost needs to be considered."
"The price could be lower."
"The solution requires a lot of bandwidth."
"The whole graphical user interface is very easy, but the details are hidden deeply and aren't easily visible. You cannot easily see the details and explore or choose the settings. We should be able to easily explore various settings and options. If you can see more details while choosing the settings or setting it up, it helps in getting the software running easily. For example, in Microsoft Office, you can see much more in the interface than in Veeam Backup & Replication. It is a complex software. It is not easy to use, and you must know what to do and where to do. The user manual has more than a thousand pages. They should give some direct information through the software and improve the software. On their website, they can have some videos and step-by-step information to make us come straight to our goals."
"The interface and cluster environments could be improved in the future as presently they are using agent interface instead of user interface. Also, the backup for the Oracle WAC environment can be improved."
"Needs better integration with cloud service providers."
"Its price is higher than other solutions and can be improved. They can also change the version of the software more often."
